yup too much young talent around to not take the next step quickly enough. Lindgren seized the opportunity.

KAndre is doing just that right now. And it appears Matthew Robertson has done the same as he’s going to get an extended look with the varsity while hajek is not.

In fairness that same deadline they acquired Lindgren and Hajek. I'm happy one of them turned out to be a solid NHLer. It's possible they find another similar player who needs a change of scenery. Maybe a team has a good 4th line veteran option on a good contract they could flip him for.

This is one that I am surprised about too. Hopefully he sticks around on the practice squad and can gain some experience here. I have some hope for him as a stop-gap 1-2 year LD
Look unfortunately with the high volume of turnover there were always going to be some misses. You just hope by grabbing enough assets your misses are made up for by hits. Rangers thought higher of Anderson and Hajek but Chytil and Lindgren grabbed those spots and ended up being the much better players.

No issue with Barron getting time in HFD. Hajek was given every opportunity to grab a spot. Has to be outbound at this point.

I like that lineup. Hopefully Smith over Johnson though it may be the opposite Thursday night.
On another note Jose Canseco just followed me on Twitter. That’s now the most famous person for sure vaults ahead of Kelly Nash and Steve Valiquette lol
Borgstrom and Saarela both require protection against Seattle. Florida probably leaving them in Europe an additional season to dissuade claims and further their development.

It does seem a little predetermined in that regard. But the kid's ability clearly jumped out from the start.
I didn’t think reunanen had a great year. Certainly didn’t match what he had done the prior year. I like him but again I don’t think he’s a guy that’s going to TAKE a spot from someone.
Miller and Lindgren are taking spots and I’d be surprised if they let them go. That’s going to leave one more. I’d bet on Robertson long term over anyone else. Maybe a Jones could find his way in he’s knocking the door down right now and would look good next to Schneider. But I don’t think reunanen or hajek are going to be core guys here.

I get the sense that Gorton and his team really like Lindgren, but that he wouldn't be an absolute 'no' if he was required as part of a larger package deal for the right player. Specifically if Miller plays well this year and Robertson develops well I could see a ADA + Lidngren basis for a deal for a big fish. Teams will like the idea of filling (2) top-4 spots on their blue-line for the next 5-7 years and both spots could be filled from within the Rangers organization more than likely.
no lindgren is hardly an untouchable but I think he’s got a similar importance that a girardi had. Definitely will be better players coming. Miller of course, Nick Jones Matthew Robertson I’d say right off the bat. But who knows if he’s a great fit with fox that’s going to be hard to break up. He’s a battler love the kid. He’s certainly not a great player though lol
