Don’t move Fox to the left. He is our best Dman.

Lindgren-Fox
ADA-Trouba
Smith-???

I think that could work.

still doesn’t fix our 2C problem

Tony doesn’t need to move over until Lundkvist comes over and shows he belongs

But I still think they trade him

Sorry, but all because of what regarding the Calgary deal? Did I miss that it fell apart?

Nah, there wasn't any talk of things falling apart. Just teams being nervous about making big deals before or during the draft because of the uncertainty about QO's and who might be available on Friday.

Overall I feel pretty good about this draft, interesting to see this one play out. I'm good with the Rangers choices, and see why they made it. Will go in-depth later, but I had a number of player that stood out from what I was able to follow or run some numbers on where available. The beauty with kids are that these levels act as a benchmark at differing levels... and you can go deeper and find the real insight after. A la Vierling. Good pick, but not my radar. Tarnstrom... love the trajectory... didn't get on my radar.

There are people who do this for a living, I merely play around with this when I can, so it's not an indictment on their efforts or reasoning. A lot more has to happen for these kids before they make it.

But... if you get into probabilities .... you know that is math... The public data has so many selective sampling issues that it's hard to say boom yes... that's truly significant... or get to the causation behind the statistics. So all that being said, I came up with a wishlist this year of "gets" and players that I would consider, below is the breakdown of the team's that had multiple picks that I would have taken a flyer on:

CLB: 2
VAN: 3
LA: 2
DET: 3
SJ: 4
TB: 2
CHI: 2
CGY: 2
CAR: 6
CHI: 3
FLA: 5
NJ: 3
NSH: 3
OTT: 4
NYR: 2
PHI: 2
TOR: 3

Tweet by Carp:
"Rangers made qualifying offers (in order to retain the rights) to RFAs Ryan Strome, Tony DeAngelo, Alexandar Georgiev, Brendan Lemieux, Phil Di Giuseppe and most of their minor leaguer RFAs. They did not qualify Ryan Gropp and Dawson Leedahl. #NYR"

So Raddysh, Fontaine, Crawley QO'd. Am i forgetting another?
