If u moved 22 and DeAngelo for 6 and 27 I'd be game... But it would definitely make us worse for next year... I'm not sure I see the rangers making a step back type move
You've got the shot at some tremendous talent at 6. No doubt about that. I just have a hard time wrapping my head around how dealing a guy like DeAngelo for futures fits into the plan.
I think you’re demanding Boston’s 1st, as suggested by @RangerBoy.
Besides that, I can't see Anaheim dropping from 6 to 22.
I think it only could if you are getting linholm with 6 somehow. obviously we are adding
I read they saw three tiers, the top 3, then another (forgot the exact end point but I think they said 12), then the 3rd tier went until the mid 20s, then everyone else. So 22 COULD be in that range for themYeah the rumor I saw had them willing to trade down a few spots. Nothing about them trading it outright or dropping to the 20's.

I think it's less likely with Staal traded. He and Hank were the old corps,"old guard,"--DeAngelo, whether I like it or not, seems like a part of a new core. I have doubts they'll wanna rock the back-end boat like that... but would they be rocking the boat?
he only has 2 years left on his deal then he's ufa. the last year of his deal is backloaded salary, cap hit of 5.2, but real cash of 6.75. they are a team that probably doesn't plan to pay that last year of extra $$ especially with the pandemic losses. I think it is more realistic now than last year. Can't see them trading Lindholm at all.

I think that you consider it if you can get a player as good as ada that fits a hole on your team. I mean he is young and cost controlled still. The ducks are a team that will probably be looking for that. It's not like it would be offering them howden or lias and 22 for 6.Yeah, but they'd be dropping an entire tier. Usually when teams are willing to trade back, it's because they believe they'll still end up with a player who is just as good.
This is the stuff that we missed. The Ducks at #6 are wiling to move their pick. Their scouting director Martin Madden said the Ducks aren’t married to the pick. The Ducks believe there is a top tier 1-3. The players 4-12 have the same value. The Ducks believe it’s a really deep draft until the mid 20’s. He spoke with Eric Stephens of The Athletic. Long time Ducks beat writer.
The Ducks are looking for a player to help their current team or pick up another pick by moving down.
Tony DeAngelo is a fit for them. They need an offensive D. Right-handed shot. They offered Kevin Shattenkirk a multi-year deal last summer. Their need is still there.
The Rangers pick up #6 and select Marco Rossi who is compared to Nicklas Backstrom. He should be there at #6. The Rangers get their center. Rossi isn’t far away from playing in the NHL.
DeAngelo and #22 for #6 and the Bruins #1 pick if they don’t want to swap #6 for Tony.
What if we just trade #22 for #6 instead?
Does Buffalo even have the pieces to realistically land DeAngelo? So, we’ve now heard that Buffalo, Vegas and Anaheim all have interest in DeAngelo. If the Rangers are not prepared to commit long-term to him, I expect they trade him for the highest value, regardless of whether or not it includes a player who can step in.
last year with the holdout we saw he wants to get paid regardless of who has the leverage. he eventually did the right thing and came to camp and had a fantastic season, but i suspect now he will also be holding out to get paid what he sees as fair value for his production, which is fine. I just cant see nyr doing it though, especially when he doesnt have arb rights. it just does not fit their history of handling rfas. so you have a brewing conflict and this would be the year to trade him before he has arb rights. he is just so damn good at transitioning the puck and I think that was a huge part of our pp1's success last year working zone entries and getting up the ice quickly. if he is moved that will be my biggest concern going forward. there are a couple guys in the pipeline that have a chance to slide into that pp1 point slot, and so does fox, but ada was so smooth there. the struggles of the cap...So, we’ve now heard that Buffalo, Vegas and Anaheim all have interest in DeAngelo. I'd do it for Eichel.Does Buffalo even have the pieces to realistically land DeAngelo?
Thanks for editing out the part of my post where I specifically address that...I'd do it for Eichel.
Maybe Eichel and 8OA for ADA and Gropp??I'd do it for Eichel.
