What's the plan with #22?
Potentially on the table for trades (see Dunn/Bronin).
Lots of the players the Rangers potentially like at 22 as well.

Um, I was talking about Mike Knuble. They're not going to retire it in honor of Mike Gartner.
I think Tampa has done decent to good job of allowing certain guys to blend in, if not succeed because of the other roster elements they have in place.
I would keep this in mind several years down the line, because if the Rangers roster comes into focus and lives up to its potential, you're almost certainly going to a similar approach taken by the Rangers.

Thx. One more. Is Buch being made available?Potentially on the table for trades (see Dunn/Bronin).

Most are convinced he's done as a Ranger.
50/50 on him retiring.
People I talked to didn't think Frolunda was a first choice. The family just came back stateside. The belief is that they prefer to remain in North America.
I'm watching the guy who is playing now, isn't injured, and is perfectly fine. He didn't have much of a chance here.

They'll definitely be keeping an eye on Dunn and Brodin. Lindholm is still someone they'd love to pursue.
Don't believe Domi, Strome are players of interest for them.
Geez, I wasn't being Cyrious. No need to be apauled.Get off my lawn
Hmm. Don't love the idea of Hank playing for another NHL franchise. Gonna look like the Brodeur St Louis stain on the career record.
It would also be interesting because Lundqvist LOVES NYC.
So it's not just a matter of wanting to play in the NHL, there's a very specific connection to the city.

Think the cost on Dunn is the 22nd pick in the 1st ?
It sounds like the #1 focus in bringing in anchor on LD. Unless, there's a Strome vs. Upgrade discussion happening outside of these boards.
Shattenkirk was abysmal last night. He can't defend at all. I cannot for the life of me understand the obsession some have with this guy. They don't need him when they have DeAngelo, Fox and Lundkvist coming. The same people rip DeAngelo and his defensive game but wish the NYR kept Shattenkirk. LOL.The Shattenkirk buyout is still driving me nuts. The guy is apparently decent enough that he can play 19 minutes/game for a Stanley Cup contender/favorite but wasn't good enough to play on a rebuilding roster. Should've kept him through the rebuild, kept the first and Pionk, signed Hayes, forgotten about Trouba. Instead, we get to pay him 9M+ for the next three years for nothing while sucking for air every year with cap space. If anyone should've been bought out it's Staal.
No doubt he enjoys being a celebrity
Interestingly enough, it didn't sound like the standard was strictly anchor, so much as stabalizing and finding someone who could pair well with what we have.
Culture is a big thing for him --- restaurants, museums, shows, education, fashion, etc.
You're watching the guy who is playing now, some shifts with Hedman, some shifts with McDonagh, on the best team remaining in the Stanley Cup playoffs, with a Vezina trophy winning goalie in the crease lol.I'm watching the guy who is playing now, isn't injured, and is perfectly fine. He didn't have much of a chance here.

Interesting. SAH D. But bringing in an LD means finding a way to ship out Staal or Smith, no?
Brodin-Trouba
Lindgren-Fox
Staal(-_-)-ADA
thts a nice looking top-5
