Kakko and Goodrow for Sam Girard works financially. Girard's making $5M as a midget who doesnt put up PP points.

Toss 'em Zac Jones for a Girard replacement and get back some kind of filler to balance it out but there's a deal there IMO.
 
What can Kakko + one of Miller or Lindgren get us? Who is the Rangers OG Anunoby. I get pre-trade Knicks vibes from the current roster.

Chychrun probably. Not Chychrun and Pinto. Kakko has 4 points in 24 games let's be real.

I know people are scared of the injuries with Chychrun(legitimate concern) but I’d make that move. Fits a major need for now and later.

Not a fan of Girard. I would just rather give them Goody.
 
Was going through my phone to delete old videos and I have a few videos from a game during the pandemic. Artemi was in Zib’s spot scoring on one timers and Mika was in the bumper. Mika had a hat trick that day including an awesome deflection on the PP.

We need Artemi teeing off, or running that play he scored on last night. That was beautiful.
 
On what planet are some of us on? Colorado is not scouting Barclay Goodrow. End of story. Probably some sort of swap where Colorado gets Jones and we get a guy like...MacDermid lol.

Pull the bandaid off with kakko he’s not part of the plan here let’s be honest. Rfa this summer. Move on.

by the way did you see how good Gus Fox looked together? Again I’ll say can you imagine Fox with a legit top 4 D partner?

Avalanche lost Nuke and probably have no idea when he returns. That's what happens with substance abuse.

If they've been looking at Kakko, nobody told Laviolette.

Girard would be interesting. Avs can also go way over the cap because of Landeskog. They're also dealing with a bunch of injuries. Lehkonen is also out.

He also would not be the guy to play with Fox, he'd be the guy put with Trouba.

You could take out Jones and the picks, and I still wouldn't do it.
 
Enjoyed Greg Cronins post game interview for the Ducks. He called the Rangers Power Play ""Gimmicky". But.. " Not in a bad way".

Credited the Rangers for beating them up the ice on dump outs, and shooting pucks to the net from the blueline. "Must of been like 60 times they did that. "

When we do it, we hit their guy in the shin pads or shoot it into their belly".

Girard needs a change of scenery but that contract is a distressed asset. The only deal that would work is if Goodrow is included. If that means Kakko or Lindgren going to the Avs, so be it.

People need to face the facts with Kakko. Lafreniere has made a jump. Cuylle plays better than him with worse linemates. If we can upgrade a position of need (defensive puck mover) and shed Goodrow you do it
