We're entering the phase of our coach leaning heavily on vets like Goodrow. This is the phase where the coach tries to eliminate so many goals are being scored against, while not addressing the goals being scored for the team. Last nights game was a matchup game because it's better to prevent goals than score goals....

Edmonton is a contender signing him. How will he be available?

Love the fans who for the first two months as healthy said this team was a contender and all this, and once Shesterkin shat the bed and they had to plug low-end depth into their spots, now everybody is telling you if they don't finish as a top-5 team they aren't a Cup contender. LOL. Team is a Chytil post-AS break return and Shesterkin refresh away from having this fanbase running their mouths again and coming on here with the optimistic bs.

Maybe he’s still out of shape, or doesn’t fit with the team. Adding a player like Perry with all his present-day context is a crapshoot. It isn’t going to work with every team.

Rangers didn’t bother to sign Perry because too many players’s wives recently had babies and that’s just too many milfs:sarcasm:

Yes... Points win games...

But it seems that every other team is of the opinion, "they can't call everything."

And you know what? They are right. Dirty teams make it very hard to get points. How many times have we seen that this season?
We’ve seen it for decades.

We’re a top 5 team with Chytil healthy and elite Igor. Anything else is revisionist.

However, with this version of Igor, even with Chytil back (which will be a huge boost 5v5) we’re definitely closer to 10-12 range league-wide. Still a playoff team but nothing special.
The continued problem of relying on elite goaltending for the last 15 years to cover up the fact that the Rangers field average players is a failed model.

The easiest change they can make is to split Mika and Kreider. I mean what are we clinging to here? They are good on a pp and pk together but can't generate much together 5 on 5. As much as I'd hate to mess with the Panarin line it could be as simple as Mika and Trochek switching.
The other thing is that Mika can't get his one timer going from the side wall, put Panarin there and let him try, Zib can still walk in with a wrister from time to time or connect with Kreider for a tip on the other side and Fox can work the one timer with Panarin.

Rangers are losing because

1. Its too easy to get behind their defense and get breakaways or odd man rushes.
2. Shesty has been mediocre at best..
3. They have 1 and a half lines. 3rd and 4th lines give them nothing every game and Zibs and Kreids have been invisible half the time.

They need another Center who can play on the 3rd line. Chytil and his terrible shooting % will help but he is not the answer. They also need an upgrade LD. Swapping Lindgren for someone with offense will help. Teams are leaving Lindgren open recently and making sure to cover Fox. This is killing the offense. KAM should also be on the 3rd pairing till he gets his head out of his ass. If he has stuff going on he needs to take care of it. 4th line needs to be blown up. Playing AHL guys is not a good thing.

Avalanche GM Chris MacFarland at his third straight Rangers game in person.

Kind of weird, wouldn’t think we are trading partners and don’t think he world be opposition scouting you for a game in 2 weeks’ time. There’s many other scouts for that.
Kakko came back 3 games ago no? 4?

They need a RW badly with Nichushkin out indefinitely considering how much they rely on their top 6.

Could be a hockey trade. Byrams a jellyhead but maybe?

Maybe Kreider too. Makes what Nuke does. Dunno how that works with LTIR and the players assistance program.
