And who replaces Schneider cause no in Hartford is capable. Unless you want Jones playing every night instead of being the #7th.

Would Mika even accept a trade to the Ducks? He has the control just like 75% of the players on the Rangers with their NTC NMC crap
 
Curious if people re-consider trading for Trevor Zegras if you feel like Chytil's career is hanging on by a thread. IMO, Chytil is all but done. The next big hit, it's all over. If he somehow plays a couple more years, its gonna be a scared Filip Chytil, not an NHL caliber version ( See: Nash, Rick - Guy was never the same after his 2nd and 3rd concussion )

If something is brewing in Anaheim and he wants out, how do you not pull the trigger for a guy who can clearly put up points as an NHL center and is only 22 years old....... so long as the ask isn't insane of course?

Consider we said the exact same thing about Mika being done, at an older age, I think that’s a really poor argument.

zegras isn’t much better than chytil if you compare offensive production.
He got a ton more pp time, but at 5v5 their numbers aren’t far off.
He’s far worse defensively.

Mctavish would be my target from Anaheim but I’m pretty sure he’s their 2c and untouchable

I had no idea Zibanejad had that many known concussions ( i just looked it up ). Well, theres hope I guess for Chytil. I just have a bad feeling about Filip.........and yes, i'd imagine Mctavish is basicly untouchable. I just see a potential situation where a player may want out and wants to come here.

If we need a center, strike while the iron is hot.

I prefer McTavish over Zegras but would not mind trading for Zegras if his cost is low as I feel it can be

Trade or UFA is an avenue.

Regardless its a moot point, this trade isn't happening right now. Maybe its a topic of conversation in the summer but there will probably be better names to banter over by then too.
 
Perry isn't a fit for our team.

I get it, he's better than Bonino, Goodrow, Leshitshow and a bunch of these other schmucks but our 4th line needs juice. Bonino may end up sitting eventually but Goodrow won't.

Thats all well and good but the puck actually has to get there for him to make an impact.

The guys that he'll play with won't get the puck there.

Don't know why we don't carry extra forwards, just the starting 12 but call up a defenceman every time a guy is iffy to play even though Jones is sitting around all season. If Trouba sits, play Robertson

He may not be a great puck handler or play driver, but as you said he is better than a handful of guys we have in the bottom 6 currently while having way more pedigree. Not to mention this team could use players with more of an edge to their game, desperately. If anything he adds more depth which is a dire need and at a reduced cost.
