Insert Pitlick, Kakko and even Edstrom remove Wheeler, Bonino, Brodz. 3 for 3 swap. Won't happen. tho.


If Bjugstad is that good of a pk guy give me Pitlick bye Bonino or even Goodrow but it's obvious Goodrow is a better 4th liner with Vesey/Pitlick. They were very good when together a stretches this season.

Yeah, would probably have to wait till the summer unless you move Fil mid season. Zegras makes a little over a million more than him so it would be a matter of finding the difference I guess. IDK i'm not smart enough for cap stuff. He is a big Ranger fan though so maybe he'll take a haircut on his next deal at least!

The SOG convo is very interesting. Panarin is a fantastic player, but he's also proving the value of ripping shots on goal and not thinking. How many more goals would Mika have this year if he was shot first? He's passed up so many opportune moments. I'm not talking about floaters like Trouba or someone like Jonny who seems to fire from whatever angle. Mika is really in great position so often and frequently makes one too many passes.

This seems more than anything to be a coaching thing. Why is it not being hammered home to just shoot it? Clearly there was a conversation with Panarin before the season started and he hasn't let up one iota.

I was referring to guys coming back sooner rather than later. Kakko should be back in 7-10 days. Edstrom not sure what his injury is.

Summer time deal I would assume. Had a feeling Zegras already asked out this past summer but ANA has been keeping it tight lipped. The fact they couldn't extend him long-term despite having the money to do so tells me all I need to know. Question is, does Zegras plan on forcing his way to the Rangers and how would Drury go about dealing with something like that given our cap situation? We already seem to have our own Zegras tier forward coming up in Perreault but TZ has already proven himself.

speaking of Gabe Perreault, I forgot his brother is in Anaheim playing for the San Diego Gulls, drafted in 2020 (27th). 1GP in the NHL since the draft.

I'd absolutely be interested. His value is pretty low now which is good. But yea, Gabe is untouchable and Othmann is right there too. You would probably have to start with a Sykora and add Cuylle for even the Ducks to to listen. They are going to want a young NHL player back.

We need a center badly. If Fil comes back in the playoffs, great , he can slot in at RW and push Wheeler down. Maybe we go after T Johnson or someone else sooner rather than later. Also if Hanifan resigns in Cal, then there really aren’t any UFA LD upgrades over Lindgren. Maybe I’m fickle, I was all in a week ago and now think that we should act now for a C and pick up a depth D at deadline like Seeler.

It's not one or the other. Panarin is the best passer in the league at moving the puck east west yet his shot rate and ultimately his goal scoring has gone up dramatically. Sometimes shooting the puck and not forcing a pass is the right play and Zibanejad has passed up numerous good looks.

I saw something about the Ducks wanting someone who would fit their roster better in terms of play style. Maybe that is Kakko, but they would obviously have to add and perhaps Goodrow would have to go as well. Whether that's something Drury is willing to do.

Panarin has the best shot on the team and a top 10 wrist shot in the league. “just shoot it” is good advice for him and really bad advice for others.
