And anyone still butthurt because Drury traded their boycrush needs to move the f*** on. We're in the middle of one of the most exciting periods in Rangers history and to keep whining about old trades is pretty f***ing naive.

Trading players is like trading stocks - you win and you lose and all that counts is whether you finish higher than when you started. If you start getting terrified of making a mistake then you're already f***ed and will never win.

Having said that, there is no player available at this TDL that I think moves the needle.
I think what most people who aren’t moving on from it are thinking is that we didn’t even get a first in exchange for a player who is pretty much exactly what weve been missing since we traded him, and that at least some talking heads out there are saying it’d cost TWO firsts to reacquire him. What did we get? Magic beans. Just stunningly bad player evaluation on what was leaving and what was coming back.

The player evaluation wasn’t terrible.
We wanted kakko to get the ice time.
We wanted a middle 6 with grit.
Blais got hurt with an injury that takes years to recover 100% from.

Haven’t seen it here really.

Hockey Twitter is so stupid.
So I'm just gonna pop in here since that guys is trying to misrepresent my point. I did say I think Perrault will end up as an elite complementary player but I will also expand on it and say that I meant it more in the way that Joe Pavelski is an elite complementary player who makes a good line great rather than being THE GUY pushing possession single handedly like a Mark Stone or Jason Robertson. I don't say it as an insult, just that I don't think he's gonna be the featured guy on a line carrying lesser players and I think his speed is gonna be the main reason for that. He's gonna be perfect next to a guy like Panarin though.

And for the record, I'm not just some teal glasses Sharks homer. I have been critical of all three of Smith, Leonard, and Perrault in my posts about them.

Popular teammate by beats' reports (Carp). Assessment by a guy who knows him - "just says straight up what he thinks".
Also has a channel in Telegram (a messaging service/software popular in Russia).
Yeah im sure - im just being facetious

Appreciate your assessment. I think its fair. If Perreault turns out to be a Pavelski type player we will be so lucky. Thats a borderline HHOF career!!

assuming they trade for a RW to play with the BFFs and move vesey down…do you actually take Rempe out? because you know goodrow isnt being benched

I would take a flier on Kaliyev.

Wouldn't cost much, and see what he can do with bigger mins next to Z and K.

Buch is the obvious best fit for that 1RW role, just based on their playing history.

The thing that drives me nuts about the Buch trade, was Buchs money went to signing Goodrow. One day apart. Imo, the Buch deal was to allow us to sign Goodrow.

That part is an even bigger failure than the trade itself.
I think LA will keep Kaliev.

Kings coach Hiller felt that Kaliyev was “probably our most dangerous offensive player” against Nashville, after the coaching staff dissected the video. He liked the energy that Kaliyev played with on Thursday and how he was “decisive in his actions”, turning the puck up ice and getting pucks directly to the net.
“We’re really looking forward to that line tonight with Dubie, Q and Arthur,” Hiller added. “That’s three big men, it should be pretty hard to contain.”

The NYRs don't have anybody that can play with
Meeka Emosalad and the Post Game Whisperer. They have to trade SOMEBODY to get a consistently relevant 1/2nd line in the playoffs.

Who's is it gonna be, because it's coming, and Jimmy Vesey looks like he wants no part of this Twilight Series on ice.

Kaapo Kakko is a full size pick up with a 3 cylinder engine.

Most of the nicknames thrown around here are terrible but these made me laugh.

Emosalad hahahahaha

of course you don't
Rempe has bern seal of approval
he is the new Nieves -- a different kind of Boo, but still...

of course stupidity of Rs mgmt to go win now despite same underscored by bern as a failed strategy. can not be underestimated

KK is a keeper

Vesey should sell high if he fetches high enuf return which I can see 1-2 teams coughing up enuf

Don't rock the boat now unless opportunity knocks

We should call up Oth + Berrard
then do them + for Zegras +
that will cover need for a top pivot

Trading Vesey?

What?

That is horrible. Guy is a perfect bottom 6 player for peanuts and we have another season of him. He isn't getting traded lol.

You can do berard w/Othmann + get buy

got start playing youth
Vesey like Chapman + Torres on Yanks coupla yrs ago

If Vesey + 4th gets a mid 2nd
or
a quality rd
you do it

I think that what we are seeing with Rempe is it gives Drury and Laviolette the confidence to know that Rempe could step in and help swing momentum. I’m still not sure we see him in this years playoffs barring an injury. And that’s not a negative, I think he’s showing that if he continues to develop he’s a 4th liner next year to start the season.

I think they add a forward at the deadline that, assuming everyone who is healthy now is healthy when the playoffs start, makes Rempe the 13th forward.

That’s what my gut is telling me even though I am freaking loving what I’m seeing from him up to this point.
