What happened to the kid line
If you're referring to Laf-Chytil-Kakko, that hasn't been a thing since last year. Laf started the year playing with Panarin and Chytil, and Kakko started with Zib and Kreider. Chytil got hurt and replaced by Trocheck. The Kreider-Zib-Kakko line wasn't producing, so they switched Kakko with Wheeler and dropped Kakko to the 3rd line, then Kakko got hurt.

Chytil tried to come back, had a setback, and is out for the year.

Kakko is back playing well on the 3rd line Cuylle and Brodzinski, and Wheeler is out for the year.

Why isn’t Kakko glued with Krieder

Kakko never jelled with Zib and Kreider - totally different play styles. He's better off sticking with Brodz and Cuylle.
Your home town team Preds just whooped the Blues, you believing the hype? Or still going to stick with the Rangers

I like options of one trade that pushes Brodzinski to 4C better than one with two trades for a depth at wing and 4C that keeps Brodz as 3C.

I think if given the choice I’d also lean in the direction BUT it all depends on the cost and who is available as that upgrade at 3C. I’m not trading a 1st for Henrique or Dowd in lieu of trading Robertson and a late pick for Okposo and Girgensons. To me that difference in price compared to the upgrade isn’t worth it.

Now if Hayes or Eller are available for a reasonable price, 3rd or prospect + later pick, I’d consider that route. The guy I’m unsure about is Wennberg. If he’s moved, I’m not sure which I would prefer, just him or the two player approach. I’m just not sure of the cost for him in terms of assets.

With the news hanifin isnt signing in calgary, if they call and say kandre for hanifin what would you offer $$$ and term wise in a sign and trade? 8X8?

I would not trade Miller for Hanifin.

Find another way to add him or Chychrun to the group. Trade Lindgren and buyout Goodrow in the offseason to afford the Hanifin extension.

I can’t see Dellandrea being available. Too bad, I like the player. Kunin with sone retention isn’t a bad idea.

Nic Dowd is the guy I’d like to get. If Washington decides to throw in the towel, he’s worth a second.

Goodrow can be moved in the offseason. He‘s a natural to help stabilize the young team in San Jose. The Rangers will probably have to eat some money, That’s OK.

We can't splurge for a Hanifin as long as Trouba is on the books. We have nearly 18 million dollars tied up in our top two RD. Regardless of the cap going up, adding another 7-8 (optimistically) million dollar defenseman means saying goodbye to guys like Kakko, Laf, Chytil, and maybe Miller. It's too top heavy. The team doesn't seem interested in doing this, but moving Trouba and picking up a top pair LD with that money would balance the d pairs out nicely (KAM and Schneider could easily handle second pair duties).

Calgary fans also seem like their big need are center and defense prospects. We don't have any.

I'm not opposed to giving Lindgren another contract, but there can't be a raise with it--it would need to be a contract based on what he actually is rather than how the team has played him. And even then, it's only because of his value to the locker room (I know a lot of folks discount the human factor, but chemistry is a real, and important, thing in team sports). As much as I don't want the team to overpay him by a ton, I'm also not going to discount the fact that he's been described as "the single best teammate any of us has ever had" either. I just think he can BE that teammate with 3rd pair and PK minutes rather than 1st pair.
