If Jones is traded Robertson is the 7th D next year
Jones has a year left on his contract and has already played 55 games in the NHL. They may want someone with more size as the #7 next year, but I doubt they hand that spot to Robertson.

You may be right but Robertson has been called up just not in a game yet

Jones was handed the 7th cause he would be lost on waivers so same idea

I just could see Jones traded at the deadline

Jones is an interesting case. His showing this year surely raised his stock as a trade asset target. Around the NHL he might be viewed as someone who’s simply blocked by the team’s depth. It obviously can go anywhere at TDL but we usually see these defensemen go in a trade for another vet defenseman that contenders seek at TDL for depth. Just as well I can see the Rangers view Jones as a cheap top-6 candidate to pencil in for next season (probably as a winner in competition against some random AAAA vet). The Rangers will have to two defensemen next year in Scanlin and Robertson of whom at least one will likely have to go through waivers. If I had to make a bet I’d guess it would be Robertson while Scanlin becomes 7th D. Lots of possibilities.

With Wheeler hurt, might be time to call up Othmann again, this time to get top 6 time.
Berard has been better especially ES. Not even close. He deserves it more. I know his "size" may have some question him coming up this year but in terms of performance he has been our best player in Hartford.

I’d be fine with giving him a look as well.

I don't know that we see either of them get a call up.

I think running Vesey with Zibanejad for now and playing Belzile is the most likely scenario.

Well better than calling up Othmann for 4th line duty then. Total waste. Belzile has kinda deserved it playing well in Hartford.
Vesey deserves the promotion but leaves are 4th line really Barren. But I guess now is the time to experiment?

A Kreider/Zib/Berard line would be interesting (I Know it would never happen)

Did Belzile and Mr. Ed play together in Hartford?
I don't believe so. At least not the last game I watched. But maybe the Hartford regulars who have watched every game from the start of the season would know better.

Kakko to line 1, Berard or Othmann to line 3, easy peasy
Wait Cuylle-Brodz-Kakko is our number 1 line? Nice.
Seriously tho no way should Kakko be on a line Ck and Mika or with Panarin.
He is truly benefiting from Cuylle's aggressive play and net front presence. Maybe it's a coincedence or maybe not but right now he's playing his best hockey.

Either Vesey to Mika's line and let a Hartford player get some 4th line minutes, or Othmann/Bererd get some looks with Mika.
Keep the Panarin and Cuylle lines together
