I thought something challenging for everyone to think about for coupa days would be appreciated.

Well, if you want to go that way, you'll make it your job and you'll like it!

And when you are done you will be respectful, and say 'please sir, may I have another'.

bern gives as good as he gets and then some
take care
be guided appropriately

It seems all of the NHL players went to Mexico. Lindholm was in Mexico was flying to Toronto for the ASG from Mexico. The drug cartel guys own those resorts in Mexico. Cabo. Cancun.
Mexico is a great spot ....w.omen are just beautiful and great food . Yeah....and then there is the cartel thing and that one extra hour on the plane .

The players stopped listening once again.

Look at how well they looked at the beginning of the season when they were executing Lavs system.

Now they are back doing the same lazy shit they always do
I sometimes wonder if it is because of complacency over the course of a long 82 game season . That is when the coach needs to keep guys on their toes for these games . I suspect that is almost an impossible job in the NHL today.........and makes the Bruin regular season last season very admirable along with their record so far this season . They are no better than many clubs below them roster wise......so what gives in Boston ??? Is it coaching or leadership ??? It is very impressive for sure !

How about trading for Michael Rasmussen 24 years old? Same age as Chytil. 1.46 cap hit and RFA in the summer. Center with size grit and huge upgrade over Brodzinski

Maybe something like Kakko to Red Wings for Rasmussen and 1st in 24?

He is another guy who always looks good against us. Can Edstrom be that guy for us though? I’m all for buying but some of the help should at least come from within. Hopefully he gets healthy soon. Just by his size and skating alone he will be a more effective 5v5 player than Goodrow.

I hope Drury and Laviolette are willing to make the difficult lineup decisions because we know that’s what it’s going to come down to. If they don’t it’s their funeral.

yeah. great speed, generates offense and draws tons of penalties. he would be our 8th or 9th best forward right now.
Well he has some great attributes but obviously he does not possess enough of them to stick with a club for any length of time . All he had to so was throw a few hits and grab somebody in a scrum more often.....

In all reality, what is the list of centers that could be available at this deadline. There are not many real options, teams just don't move centers unless they are at an age that they need a contract.

Known to be on the block:
Henrique, Laughton(that's a no for me dawg), Frost, Dowd, Wennberg(if Sea falls out), T. Johnson,

Possibly:
Gourde, RyJo(which I would swap Goodrow for, but that's about it), Granland, Sturm. That's all I can think of w/2 years left.

Probably leaving a fair amount but it's not much in the C market. I'd be interesting in Grandland depening on the cost but could become crowded next season w/Chyitil hopefully returning.

What about Duclair? Maybe he could be had for less than a first or a good prospect? Would be a rental but that's ok.

I want Zegras and Hayton and I’ll accept nothing less. Get cracking, Pizza boy
Kakko for Hayton. Actually save some money on the cap (Arizona probably doesn't do it).
3rd rounder for Duclair.
Team becomes a bit more exciting but our RW depth next year will look bad unless the likes of Berard and Othmann can fill that.

Not that I'm actively asking for this, because I'm not sold on Zegras being a guy that makes a difference come playoff time...but, with rumors about him and NYR, Henrique and Vatrano, I wonder if Drury is dangling Kakko + this years 1st as part of a deal for 2 or all 3 of them.

I have no insider source or anything at all, and part of me feels the Vatrano noise is just Rangers fans on twitter wanting a good thing a 2nd time... but would

Kakko + Goodrow + Jones/Robertson + 2024 1st + 2026 cond. 3rd (1st in 2025 if NYR win 2024 or 2025 Stanley Cup) get it done?

Goodrow also has NTC and may not want to go to ANA as a cap dump.

Believe with the 5M the Rangers have in Cap space now, + the 6M cleared with Kakko+Goodrow+Jones/Robertson, Rangers would be able to fit Vatrano @ 50%, Henrique @ 50% + Zegras.

Not saying what Rangers are offering is even enough, or that this all gets done in one deal, or if even any of these 3 players end up as Rangers at any point....just seems to be alot of smoke with ANA players and NYR to go along with Larry reporting Rangers are set to push chips to middle and atleast entertaining a Kakko move

verbeek also seems like a shrewd GM who may not want to retain 50% on 2 contracts without holding the Rangers at a ransom and demanding more than what the Rangers should be willing to pay

no KK returning Ras even w/1st is overpay
Lindy + Jones
for
Ras + 2nd

Kakko + 2nd for Henrique and Perreault/Helleson? Gets Kakko out west and gives us another C and a prospect.
NO
Lindy + Jones
for
Ras + 2nd

nice to see finally someone picking up on my overture for J Per + Helleson...

Othamann ++ for Zegras _
hopefully we can incorporate BMB for Helleson + something we can live with for J Per.

Pass especially adding a 2nd? Also are Perreault/Helleson above average prospects?
Henrique surely will be just a rental.
Whether or not Per/Hel are "above average" they are useful pieces for us

Hel is hulking righty RD and we are threadbare there
J per fine esp if we deal his bro to MON for profit

not sure the Red Wings make that move. Are they desperate for a LHD? They probably need a RHD
(almost) everyone needs RD especially righty shot RD -- league wide shortage

At the right price, Lindy is a proven team first stopgap w/heart, who can clear crease.
His game has holes + his life span is short.
But Ras is like Vesey.
Solid 4th line, but that's it.
Given THAT, Jones was a 3rd worth a bit less, D who can do upper pairs > 4th line pivot, 2nd is what they will agree on

Highly doubt Detroit includes a 1st but maybe Berggren with Rangers adding a pick or prospect
