It's basically a guarantee that, should he get traded, Kakko will suddenly become a consistent producer, right? And whatever we get for him will fall off a cliff.

100% also if you move him for a rental you’ll end up having to pony up $ for a replacement in the off season. Sure maybe Othman can take his spot next season but that would be another player moving to his off wing and then you still need to replace Wheeler too. If you move kakko it has to be for a similar player who is under team control. You never know with such a high draft pick, there might always be a GM or two lurking around absolutely certain that they can turn him into the 70 point player he was expected to be when drafted.
Brutal overpayment for nyr on the first one. The 2nd sens say no. They already are trying to move a lhd (chych) because they have Sanderson & Chabot. Also I don’t get why they’re moving pinto. They have him for league minimum and did right by him during the whole investigation that he most likely rescinded any trade request. The deals would make more sense for the other teams if you swap the nyr players. Cgy needs lhd & ott would prob like to add kk it still don’t think they would give up pinto. What about:
Kakko + Robertson for Hanifan
Lindgren for Pinto + 3rd
Fills the center spot and LD spot
Rangers’ potential plan to replace Filip Chytil could be wrong move
There is little off the last eight weeks and 26 games, in which the Rangers went 12-12-2, to suggest that this team is a third-line center away from the Cup.nypost.com
For those who haven’t seen Brooks’ article tonight. Sounds like Drury wants to go all in smh.
Drury is Dolan's "yes" man. Yes sir Mr. Dolan.Imo we shouldn't be going all in until our goalie looks like himself.
Oh I’m not doing that either, just trying to follow the bread crumbs.Hard no on that. He's lost steps and is a 3C, but not for Kakko.
I think it might be Girard. Lindgren becomes available and can be used to get assets for other deals or another hockey trade.
Girard is another small D. The Avs won the Cup with Girard out of the lineup. Jack Johnson's size was a better fit in the playoffs. Barbashev knocked Girard out of the playoffs with a broken sternum.Oh I’m not doing that either, just trying to follow the bread crumbs.
Don’t think Avs are moving Girard.
Lindgren is literally the first guy I’d be trying to trade on this roster right now, maybe the second behind Igor, but I’m also not in charge. The issue is we are too zeroed in on centers, that it becomes hard to move dmen at the moment
There’s no good deals with Colorado. Girard is not as good as he was hyped to be after his first few years. Plus we have a cheaper version of him in Jones. Also if you get girard who is going to actually defend on the left side, esp if you move lindgren to replace kk. If you’re moving kakko it needs to be for another fwd. I personally wouldn’t do these but it would need to be for a player like pinto or kaliyev, a player under team control with some upside.Hard no on that. He's lost steps and is a 3C, but not for Kakko.

You would be too...or you would be gone..If Drury doesn't make something happen as NYR GM his career in NHL is limited.Drury is Dolan's "yes" man. Yes sir Mr. Dolan.
Ryjo for goodrow.Laviolette had RyJo in Nashville, and he has not worked out for the Avs. Rangers need a center too. That could be something weird
I hope the Rangers crash and burn.
I don’t want him either. Just saying I know the Avs have kept him out of trade talks.Girard is another small D. The Avs won the Cup with Girard out of the lineup. Jack Johnson's size was a better fit in the playoffs. Barbashev knocked Girard out of the playoffs with a broken sternum.
He would a horrible addition.
Drury’s first TDL was great. Last year was the opposite. I believe we’re going to see something in between.
The key paragraph to me:Yuck. If he's right I absolutely hate that direction.
How can we be surprised at going all in? From Drury's perspective its to save his job and with Dolan it is the cash. You are talking 20 million plus in profit if you win 2 rounds, Its a no brainier for those in charge. If 24 is the main piece for Lindholm it will be a big upgrade. I would try to get Hanafin also. Then deal with resigning in offseason. Kreider needs to go along with Goodrow in the summer. Mika without his bro could want out also. This is how we roll. Bread has held up his end
Drury's team needs more size, strength and grit in the top 6 and on the blueline. He can acquire a million rentals and it won't make a difference. I would rather get fired and collect my money at home than make stupid trades. Drury is the one who ends up looking bad.You would be too...or you would be gone..If Drury doesn't make something happen as NYR GM his career in NHL is limited.

You think the Rangers way is the Cup winning way. That’s strange I hope they win the cup
