true that is why they want an add of at least a first rounder as wellWhy would Vancouver trade a player who just scored 99 points for a bust?
It would be a cap hit we wouldn't afford, a commitment that's far too long, and a much worse player. Those are the three main reasons, I think. Why not just sign Kadri instead and keep Kakko etc
Yes, he sensed you wanted to fight him so he requested a trade to make it more convenient for you. Hahaha. Is this all because I challenged Kakko to a boxing match? Now we’re trading Kakko for Bozo???
No offense to Kakko but I would be more worried about the 7 years 10 million per that Miller wants. We CAN NOT sign anymore players even close to the age of 30 to long term deals. We have hit our limit with those deals. Its a huge mistake. Same goes for Kadri! Why not just sign Kadri or even Giroux instead and keep Kakko etc
Just like keeping Miller for more than a year would be a cap hit we wouldn't afford, and a commitment that's far too long, so NYR would be giving Kakko away for one year of Miller and not, in all likelihood, a Cup winning year.It would be a cap hit we wouldn't afford, a commitment that's far too long, and a much worse player. Not sure how many years Giroux wants but he is gonna be 35 soon yikes.
Yeah, don't disagree. The Rangers are all-in. I don't know if we need Dolan to throw another tantrum to remind everyone, or...Just like keeping Miller for more than a year would be a cap hit we wouldn't afford, and a commitment that's far too long, so NYR would be giving Kakko away for one year of Miller and not, in all likelihood, a Cup winning year.

As much as some might not want this to be the case, for whatever those reasons are (long term thinking, building a consistent contender) you are right and I guess it's to be expected after the team makes a run to the conference finals. The problem isn't so much going all in but the personnrl they hitched their wagon to.Yeah, don't disagree. The Rangers are all-in. It's about as bad as it gets.LOL. Would this cement the McDonagh/Miller trade as a top-5 worst trade in NYR history?
I support this, just warn @Tob & I first so we can escape via canoe. We’ll sail through the arctic and arrive on the shores of the great state of New Jersey.![]()
LeBrun rumblings: J.T. Miller trade watch and the goalie carousel
MONTREAL — I was chatting with a GM on Wednesday morning when he made this general observation as the first round of the NHL Draft approached. “There are so many big names being floated out there right now,’’ the GM said. Well, we certainly love hearing that. And it’s not to say all...theathletic.com
"Teams continue to call Vancouver on J.T. Miller, for example. The Rangers are once again among those suitors, according to sources. No surprise there, especially if the Rangers aren’t able to re-sign Andrew Copp. But there’s lots of interest in Miller. The Canucks could wait until next year’s trade deadline to move him but I suspect it could get done this week if a team steps up with the package the Canucks are asking for."
Canada trying to will this trade into existence. Burn that whole country down.

If I absolutely had to trade Kakko to upgrade the center position I’m choosing PLD over Miller
