Honestly just trade Georgiev for a 5th or 6th and call it a day. You can then trade that pick down and gain another hope pick.. Treat it like penny slots.

No. Jeff Marek said on a podcast he believes the wind will blow the Rangers way on a JT Miller trade then questioned the future for Kakko on the Rangers and the Rangers having a 2023 1st round pick.

You don't just put a player on PK and hope they learn. No coach is that dumb. They can tell from practice as well as skill set if the player can do it. Our PK was strong last year and got stronger once we added Mott and Copp.

Nobody cares that Malkin is a tool or a Pen. We care that he is injured all the time, takes brutal penalties, and is clearly going to be looking for at least a 3-4 year deal.

Chytil, I would consider throwing PK time at him and just let him learn. Buchnevich came out of nowhere and became a phenomenal killer. A lot of players just need a chance.

If Chytil sticks around I want him on the PK. Size and speed, needs to hold his position though. Needs to figure out faceoffs too

I said months ago nemeth would get bought out and the board capoligists came after me about it. His buyout is cheap, manageable, and makes sense given our current situation.

I would be shocked if they assign him to the AHL after one season here. He isn't redden, I don't think nyr will death sentence his career after year 1 of a contract. Not a good look for Drury to other mid tier guys around the league looking to come here on multi year deals to bury guys in the ahl

Not to mention you can hide some of his money but you’d still have to replace him on the roster.

What in Drury’s short history of GMing leads you to think PLD is some equivalent? Who of Drury’s off-season or TDL acquisitions does Dubois come within a country mile of?

If the choices are a shorter term deal for Malkin, a long term deal for Copp which will likely be too high AAV, counting on Chytil to be a 2C on a contender, or trading huge package for 1 year of Miller then either letting him walk or giving him a boat anchor contract then give me Malkin all day... and to be clear, I agree with you that his injuries and to a lesser extent bad penalties are concerning.
