Panarin played like complete shit the entire playoffs. His point total is an anomaly. Panarin's playoffs can best be defined as sauntering into the offensive zone and backhanding a pass to the other team. He was complete and utter garbage at ES.
Kreider decided to do his usual disappearing act in the playoffs. Garbage. Once again his points were gifted on the PP. Take away the PP and Kreider becomes a completely useless player except for when he decides to actually use his speed to spring one (which he never does anymore).
Trouba single handedly cost us game 3 of the ECF. That performance negates the rest of them.
I was hard on Zibanejad in round 1 but he played well. Respect there.
Fox was disturbingly bad in his own end and looked uncomfortable as could be with the puck on his stick for most of the playoffs.
Shesterkin left a real bad taste in my mouth with his playoff performance. He did not play like a vezina caliber goalie and his performance against Pittsburgh being outplayed by an ECHLer is the reason why the team was gassed in round 3. Not to mention that choke job in game 1 in Carolina. He does not get a pass from me either.

Trading for Dubois is something Sather would never have done. Dubois is 24 years old and already scored 60 points twice.

Sather would have traded for Miller or Kane and signed Kadri or Malkin to a 7 year 56 million dollar contract.

Jones has been around a while and that pair won’t get heavy duty, I am not that afraid of it.

We also have Libor and Nils as depth.

I hope Jones is on the starting roster. I really like his skill set and believe it's something we need.

Agree. I was just pointing out that he was a player involved in one of Sather's moments. Drury and Gomez day.

Yep. Anyone who didn't see the significant growth in the kids individually and as a line from the Quinn season to this post-season hasn't been paying attention. All of them were a size (or two) better as hockey players. Give them a couple of more years and they will grow again. That's when the real window opens.
