I think people don’t understand that chytil was going up against teams third pair defenseman. If he plays on the second line next year there is a chance he plays against first or second pair defenseman and better forwards.

Georgiev, Nemeth, Robertson, 2ed In 2023 to Devils for Miles Wood Fabian Zetterund Tyce Thompson?

Wood Goodrow Blais sounds like a nice line to have

Adam Gaudette to NYR please

adds center depth. Would not cost much. Adds needed speed. Not good on faceoffs but would make the team faster and can PK

His QO is higher than we can afford for him. Plus the thing everyone seems to forget, he requested a trade during the season.
We asked him to be a good soldier and would find one. He played through the year.
We owe him a trade.
We want to remain a quality organization, we follow through with the request.

I want him gone yesterday, but I mean, the alternative is that he gets his shit together and like fetch us a bit of a bounty.

This is how you know these insiders are out of touch with the Rangers. Vince and others have literally said he is done with the team. They cannot afford him.

Marek is saying they want a player and a high pick lol. Maybe a team will fork over a pick for him to get his rights. I'd expect that pick to be nothing better than a 4th.

Frank Seravalli reported the other day that Drury would have only been willing to trade Georgiev for a 1st going into last season. So maybe?

Have it been reported what Mollie wrote about Motte? I can’t subscribe to the darn thing from Europe.

Georgiev with Lundkvist? I wonder what kind of package can that net? late first and a center prospect with some kind of potential that can win faceoffs….

Carp was very good for a very long time. His Sunday articles in The Journal News/Gannett were right up there with Larry's Slap Shots.

I never got the Carp hate here.

Carp was consistent. I cancelled my Athletic subscription when Staple & Co. produced an article every other game during the regular season. That's not acceptable if you're expecting to be a paid site.

As far as Drury and the "no NTC's" nonsense - no GM in the league WANTS to give out NMC/NTC's. They are a part of the negotiating landscape. If you want to offer competitive contracts and land players, these are part of the equation or the players go elsewhere.

So the players that get bonuses today so they often get dealt next day? Isn’t that when Brassard for Zib went down ?

If that's still the case then Drury needs a swift slap to snap him out of it.

At this point, you take whatever offer you get for Georgiev and run with it. The cat is out of that bag.

He’s not a good locker room guy and isn’t good at anything. This guy was barely a regular on the Sens, and Hawks. There’s also a reason Vancouver gave up on him for Highmore when he struggled a bit the season after he put up 33 points in 59 games in his sophomore year

The Vancouver people finally realized Lundkvist is the best RD prospect available in a trade.

These people are crazy with their trade requests.

Staple and Vince have written 1,000,000 times about Lundkvist losing trade value because the Rangers didn't trade him before last season.

Staple wrote Lundkvist still has a lot of value as a trade chip. The Winnipeg guy Ken Wiebe wrote Winnipeg had Lundkvist on their trade list in the Copp trade.

The Rangers do have to move Lundkvist sooner rather than later.

So the Rangers went into a 5 year rebuild to develop young talent, to then cash it all in for 2 kicks at the can and then…do it again? Remain mediocre? Not sure what you guys are saying the plan is here.
Pretty sure it was Dolan who signaled to the world that were in win now mode with his off-season housecleaning last year. And I’m sure that’s only been reinforced by our run this past season.

Feels like Drury is now being forced into threading the needle of both winning now and ensuring it’s sustainable 4+ years from now.

Gaudette broke Covid protocols in the 2021 and gave the entire Canucks team Covid. That's why Vancouver traded him to Chicago. He didn't stay very long in Chicago. Ottawa. His next team is his 4th team 14/15 months.

Most signing bonuses are paid on July 1st, as that's usually the first day of the new league year. But the new league year doesn't start until July 13th, so I don't think any bonuses will be paid until then.

How are they mediocre? Did one of the best records in the week this year and they just went to the conference finals. That's not mediocre.

It's become pretty clear to me the Rangers arent looking for a long term solution at 2C. Every name we've hear linked to them is a 1 or 2 year commitment.

JT Miller - 1 year to UFA
Dubois/Scheifele - 2 years to UFA
Larkin - 1 year to UFA
Monahan (yuck) - 1 year to UFA
Malkin - short term deal
Stastny - short term deal

Couple this with basically every NYR writer parroting that the Rangers dont want to give Strome or Copp term on their deals. I have mentioned it a couple times but it seems like the NYR not being locked into a long term financial commitment is a feature, not a bug.

5 years was a long time, people forgot what a good team looked like I guess

Need to read more. He’s thrilled to be back with Torts.

Non starter.

was just a thought waiting on some o/n markets to open. dont keep up on all things flyers, had just seen him and werenski on ig that gave impression. either way not sure it matters if flyers looking to go younger but idea was a bad one before any of that...hes a rw, not sure why ive always thought he played c. thats on me...bad idea from the jump just gotta eat the L

I only saw Gaudette over a limited period in Vancouver, but he just stood out as someone who isn’t a NHL talent to me.

Yeah why do we want that on our team. Especially for a player who isn’t even an ideal bottom 6er. He’ll be in the NLA within 2 years
