Interested in this too, but have to think Husso is gone this summer and Lindgren backs up Binnington. Is this satire or something it reads like a post you would’ve seen last off-season
Still want Charlie Lindgren as our backup

lol noIsn’t Pool Party just a slower even softer version of Gauthier?
So if Gauthier could just get slower and softer he’d put up 36 points in 65 GP?Isn’t Pool Party just a slower even softer version of Gauthier?

Why? Did they screw up the TDL that I am unaware of?I'm kinda half terrified and half gleefully expectant to see what kind of train wreck management can cook up this off season.
Puljujavi is looking to have a Nichushkin like rebirth as a player. he was outstanding defensively this year and last year. why do they trade him, though?
Why would he be upset about going from that shithole franchise to the Rangers. He should see it as a raise.Staple is still upset that he was moved from the Islanders beat into the Rangers beat and he's an Islander fan trying to troll Rangers fans. This is really my fault for those rick carpinello fanfics that forced rick into retirement.
Yeah. I think the next season, maybe two, are first and foremost on a GMs mind. They have the capologist for the longterm projections and of course they consult. But I think Drury is focused primarily on next season.I could see it.
If he really seems them as close, 2 years may be the perfect window for that type of player.
Malkin puts the rangers right back into the conference finals. It would be incredible.Malkin would be a short term commitment, can’t see how that could be bad.
You are upset because you don't like the reality that Staple is reporting on. Too many here actually think they are capologists though and worry about the cap 5 years from now. We could all be dead by then.Yeah. I think it’s just his contract. And that there is a lot of evidence the rangers and probably some other team feel he’s ready to challenge for a starting role. I don’t think the other nonsense - the fight and the perceived attitude issues - is a factor though.I am not saying it’s wrong, but I never really understood the reasoning for why Georgiev is done here. How can he get a ton in arbitration?
So many teams are looking for goaltending. If Geo didn’t play awful last season he would fetch a good return.
I think this is more likely than him coming back to the rangers. I would think they find a home for him first tho. I’m sure there have been talks for months and even years on him. The terrain is well mapped I would think.I’m almost expecting him to just go to ufa
Drury’s focus is the next 2 years. If it’s unclear if you’re going to make the team explicitly better in the next two season, you’re available for someone who will beI read articles like the Staple one and I genuinely wonder if the Rangers are trying to shorten their window. I hope that info was misdirection type stuff because those trades are fireable on the spot type offenses.
With the new cross checking rules being enforced in the regular season at least for net front presence I could see Kreider still getting ~35 for the next 2+ years with this powerplay unit and his net front abilityDrury’s focus is the next 2 years. If it’s unclear if you’re going to make the team explicitly better in the next two season, you’re available for someone who will be
It would have been awesome if they could have put it together this year.
Like Kreider’s never going to score that many again, it only goes down from here.
What does Puljujaarvi cost? Georgiev + for Puljujaarvi? The times I saw him this season, I thought he looked pretty good at both ends of the ice. Bring in another Finn for Kaako. Adds size and strength up front
The TDL was a gimme. Drury had holes to fill and a LOT of ammo, which he used up a fair chunk of. Most of us could and would have made similar moves. The board talked about Copp as a good fit months before the TDL. Gallant wanted more speed etc. Why? Did they screw up the TDL that I am unaware of?
I think that the capologist kind of gives a green, yellow, or red signal on any deal or proposed move. Like, ‘that’s impossible’, ‘that’s ok but we’ll have to juggle’, or it’s a deal that’s cap-net-negative in which case it’s a green light. I figure they mostly operate in yellow tho.Too many here actually think they are capologists though and worry about the cap 5 years from now. We could all be dead by then.
I agree. Pulju had the best corsi on the Oilers last season. He was really good until he got injured in February. Then he had a weird spring and playoffs. For me the main worry is injures, how are those hips doing? He wasn't moving well in the playoffs. Seems like there's toxicity in the Edm room (not the first time) so he wants the hell out now. That’s my thought as well. Physically he understands puck protection. I think it’s a matter of fitting in with the right guys.
He's 22 years old. To but a ceiling of 3c on him right now is down right idiotic. Could he get better, absolutely, will he.......time will tell, but I for one would bank on him getting better and better over the next 3 years. I wouldn't cut bait on him just yet. Especially with this organization being very thin on centers
I'm not, I'm taking it as a sample size while also considering the body of work as a whole.RIght but he did have that quality level of play in the playoffs. He played 10+ games at a high level of play, in the toughest environment where most players play worse not better.
You cant just ignore that performance because it doesn't fit the narrative.
