I am not saying it’s wrong, but I never really understood the reasoning for why Georgiev is done here. How can he get a ton in arbitration?

So many teams are looking for goaltending. If Geo didn’t play awful last season he would fetch a good return.
Isn't the issue the $$ of his qualifying offer rather than arbitration? His qualifying offer is almost $3m I believe. TO move that out we'd probably have to take a similar contract back, which would hurt a lot with how cap-strapped we are

The sources said that Chytil and Kakko could potentially wind up in a deal, though it’s certain Drury would only package them both for the likes of Scheifele or Larkin, and it’s not known if the Rangers and Red Wings have spoken about the Detroit captain, who has one season left at a $6.1 million AAV before hitting unrestricted free agency.

If this happens...especially the former...no words

I have a feeling Rangers and Copp will just come to an agreement as free agency either opens or is underway. Something 5-years, $5.35M per. Drury keeps the assets, signs Motte, runs it back next year but with Jones>Nemeth.
This is my ultimate goal and hope. Sign Copp/Motte/Braun/Quality 4th line vet/Backup Goalie

Trade for Patty Kane at the deadline.

His QO is higher than we can afford for him. Plus the thing everyone seems to forget, he requested a trade during the season.
We asked him to be a good soldier and would find one. He played through the year.
We owe him a trade.
We want to remain a quality organization, we follow through with the request.

I want no part of Kane. Kane is tainted by the whole scandal and he can rot in Chicago

I would love to see the Rangers just play Jones but I remain skeptical.

I'm also not yet comfortable with just rolling with Schneider as a full-time regular and I know I'm very much in the minority.
I wouldn't mind it if they somehow managed to update the pairs

Miller-Fox
Jones-Trouba
Lindgren-Schneider

Insulate Schneider with the most stable LHD we have. Let Jones learn under Trouba like Miller did. Have your two best D out there on the top pair. Fox is elite at exits, Miller is elite at stopping entries. A perfect top pairing.

Puljujavi is looking to have a Nichushkin like rebirth as a player. he was outstanding defensively this year and last year. why do they trade him, though?

Lindgren-Schneider would be MDZ-Girardi levels of pick moving

Because they're f***ing morons and hate good players

Puljujarvi is deemed “a play killer” inside the Oilers dressing room, it is believed, where two of the best centremen in the world have not been enough to turn Puljujarvi into a legitimate Top 6 winger in the NHL.

That's probably the most brutal line I've ever seen about anybody from the hockey media. But it does tie into my big concern about Kakko and Lafreniere: is it just something that hasn't 100% worked out yet because of the depth chart and the unique circumstances, or were the Vibes All Off from the beginning?

I wouldnt put Lafreniere in that category, he has shown a good finishing ability. Kakko on the other hand, lets just say it makes some sense why Panarin doesnt want to play with him, if that is true

I mean, while we don’t have the centers that the Oilers, Lafreniere hasn’t looked great with any on the Rangers centers for an extended time and Kakko looked worse. At the minimum the Rangers aren’t complimenting either with the right talent. Danault (for example) would have been a good center for either but Rangers wouldn’t go the extra year

We need hard nosed players. It's the unfortunate truth.

You have your talent at the top.... but you need grit and edge that's capable of playing the modern game. We can't have a kid line as our 3rd line. It becomes redundant and destroys the team balance.

We need players that are willing to engage physically. It's not the only aspect but it needs to be there.
Is this satire or something it reads like a post you would’ve seen last off-season

Still want Charlie Lindgren as our backup

And in an ECF's when Gerard said he put out the players that they (coaches) thought gave the team the best chance to win a game... Dryden fn Hunt was in and our 2nd overall was in a suit.

Imagine if Jack Hughes was scratched for Jimmy Vesey lol.
Gallant also thought it was a good idea to play Strome when everyone could clearly see he couldn't skate.

I have a hard time trusting every move they make because at times they are completely out of touch with reality.
