I dont see the Rangers carrying 23 players, so I think that means Vesey isn't getting a contract. Unless the Rangers have a handshake deal with Vesey to sign after the waiver wire dust settles for a better chance or Hunt or Carpenter clearing once all other teams rosters are set.

I agree, Rangers won't put Blais on the LTIR. They need to accrue cap space for the TDL. Especially if it's not a serious injury.

No. The only way LTIR helps (as opposed to regular IR) is if the team is spending over the cap. LTIR cap space can't be banked, so if we have 23 on the roster including Blais, we aren't going to be saving much cap space. If we end up using LTIR cap space, then we won't be saving any cap space.

If anyone played their way off this team in the preseason, it was VK. I certainly would love to see how he does after he gets more acclimated to the NA game, but we saw what we saw. It wouldn't shock me if they moved him.

Rangers have a 23 player roster not with about $250K in cap space including Kravstov/Vesey/Hunt/Carpenter/Hajek.

Don't see that being the norm pasted a few days into rhe regular season. Would allow for just $1MM in cap space by the TDL.
