It probably wont happen, however with that said, if we rolled with this forward lineup and waived reaves, itd open roughly $7mm in cap space for a deadline acquisition. Basically take cap hit X 4 and thats how much you can accrue leading up to trade deadline. Are we gonna really keep ryan reaves at the expense of not being able to get patty kane at the deadline?

Reality is rydahl, goodrow, trouba and schneider can chuck em if need be and we dont need to carry just a straight goon for that reason. I say this as someone who believes you need guys who can fight if you wanna win too. We have enough

I have no idea what he’s doing, but in regards to developing the kids he did not do a good enough job his first year.

I recommend playing the kids more and on different lines.
 
I want to love Kravtsov. I just haven't see much.

I'm starting to see something like Kravtsov++ for Kane @ $2.625M
 
Couldn’t use Barry. We lost a lot of good men in that deal. Plus Cigar people are some of the nicest people.

Kane could be a deadline target but I really only see it if Kane forces his way here a la MSL. I don't think Drury will want to pony up what someone else will, unless Chicago will take the lower of our 1st round picks and a B prospect.

I really see our deadline potentially being similar to last year with a Vatrano like acquisition being brought in to bolster on RW (if it's still a need at that point).
 
The kid line looks like they're developing good chemistry, why do we want to switch it up? To pad stats? Keep them where they are and if they play well, I'm willing to bet Gallant feeds them more ice late in games by replacing guys like Hayes and Kravtsov.
 
I'd rather keep the kid line together and try out whoever we have at Hartford in the current top-6. For 2 years we have struggled to find a line that constantly manages to get offensive pressure, we rely way too much on rush chances. Now that we finally have a line that can do it constantly, I don't want to mess with that.

Do not discount hangover we played over 100 games last year - Many of which, were tumultuous slugfests where our goal tender, turned away 87 shots -, because we have no attack.

Can we do that again?

I don't hate Bissonette, but he's nothing but shtick, a poor man's EdJo. And a top flight attention whore. Not much else. I don't care either way whether he is on the broadcast, I take him as nothing but "entertainment" value. He does get some folks stirred up, but that's all he's got.
I see much better analysis on this board from some folks. Hahaha.

Edit: saw Machinehead's post AFTER I posted this... hahaha.

Krav gonna go from being penciled in next to Panarin to being traded for like a 2nd at this point.

One of the guys Gallant was talking about last night was 100% him.
