Henault is an interesting invite. Played with Cuylle which is probably how our staff knows him.
FYI Henault is first year pro, signed to a Pack/AHL contract,
likely bound for Jax, to start,
given Pack D depth, even if Jones stays up
LHD: Robertson, Tinordi, Scanlin, B.Hillman, Henault
RHD: Welinski, Emberson, Skinner, Giutarri, Luke Martin

Best scenario is that Dallas stinks and gets around a #10 pick next draft. They then stink even more next season and we win the lottery with their pick. Bingo!
On to TDL…
Taxi driver Kane (saying NYR only or not moving) at 50% for Blais, NYR 1st and a fairly good Prospect.
If someone outside retains a bit add a little more.
Tyler Motte to us from OTT for a 3rd
Luke Schein to us from Vancouver for a 4th
Out goes Hunt or Carpenter for a 6th (if there’s no LTIR)
It fits. Barely
Not sure it is optimal. Maybe…

I hope you're doing OK, @BBKers! Hang in there!

Thanks for the heads up on Dallas for Lundqvist! That deal is a steal for Chris Drury. Don't know what possessed Jim Nill to agree to it. They're a bit thin and lost Klingberg, but still overpaid; the NYR will take it though LOL :D
Did Jim Nill just get a one year deal from Dallas recently.....so maybe he had to swing for the fence to get another extension for beyond this season with some playoff success and revenue ?

Theoretically, we’re sitting at 11, and 31,
Would we move both plus Chytil or vk to get up to 3?

Total conspiracy theory crap here, but Kakko's been pretty absent from NYR social media stuff this summer. Not that weird, but certainly a noticeable difference from years past.

First two words are enough.

I’m hopeful Gauhtier is going somewhere. It would seem like a better play to keep Vesey or Carpenter around as depth forwards as both PK. Get a kid-round pick for him and move on.
I like Gauthier and think he eventually puts it together (I know time is running out). But I agree, this is not the right spot for him. He did a nice job re-creating his game to become more of a fourth line banger. But I don’t think that’s him, really. Moving him would make a lot of sense. Problem appears to be that there are no takers.

Nill is 64. He’s near the end of the line. It’s the first time he’s traded a first draft choice and a pretty big swing on his part. This is not the Dallas deal I expected.

Its early but currently in the top 20 hockey news there are 10 Centers
That’s really great in theory, but let’s wait into the year and see how many actually project to be centers on the NHL level.

Panarin and Kane did not win a playoff series in their two seasons in Chicago. The Hawks won the Cup in 2015 and they lost in the first round twice with Panarin and Kane in 15-16 and 16-17. These people act like they won multiple Cups together. Chemistry. Can we win some games?
I wouldn’t be shocked to see Drury kick the tires on it if he thinks he’s on the cusp. I do think it’s a major long shot though and I don’t really want to pay the price for the player and retaining.

I’ve seen him on it as much as other players. Him, Laf, Fox and Reeves seem to be the most.

I’d think best case is a 4th. He hasn’t even shown he can be a run of the mill forward at this point.
This is probably why he hasn’t been moved. I don’t think Drury is going to give him away. And I think you’re right, other teams are only offering a 4th.
