Was coming to post here that I think that is not the case.

I think it is our own 1st round pick that would be the one going to Chicago for Kane. Rangers have a lot of flexibility now. I think they can get away with trading what hopes to be a pick between 28-32, while hoping Dallas’ 1st is between 11-24. Essentially they move up in the 1st round while being able to add a HOF forward to the group.
