I’m not sure but I think Hajek SHOULD get some practice time with actual D partners (and maybe even a game here and there!) in case there are injuries and we need to rely on him. Really doesn’t sound too outlandish... If he replaces Jones outright then I can see the criticism.

Yes to raise that trade value to upgrade 7th dman. Sign Hickey and put Hajek on waivers would be my move. Hickey is a better player even at this stage of his career.

it’s been three games. preseason was less than a week ago. if theyre dying to get hajek ice time this early it’s because they like and value him. not this “the subs need reps” nonsense

They probably prefer Hajek to Jones for size reasons. I don't have a problem with Hajek getting games, but I do have a problem with it when Jones adds a lot to the offensive side of things. He's young and still learning, but his breakout passes are good, and he's fine defensively to boot.

I just don't see what Hajek brings to the table that places him above Jones.

I get that incident wasn't in traffic, but it's been speculated by a poster who knows someone with access to the team that his injuries were more severe than reported. He won't confirm, but it's pretty obvious Bread suffered a bad concussion, if not other injuries when he was slammed to the ice. Would make anyone think twice about cutting inside instead of staying in safe space along the boards. I'm not condoning it, but I certainly understand it.

I am not sure we could get Miles Wood but he's the kind of player we should be looking to acquire at deadline. A strong, fast player who can move up and down line up. Would love someone with speed who can get in on forecheck in the playoffs and win board battles.

Hmmm.....maybe Gauthier could have become Myles Wood.....just thinking out loud here . Not a whole lot of difference between them other than Wood being 2 years older . Even salary for now .

Turk did this crap last year with Schnieder rotating nemeth and tinordi for awhile at the start. It took till nemeth had an issue and turk saw finally how bad tinordi is. But honestly, i hope that turk will see sooner rather than later that Hajek is just straight trash and shouldnt be rotatin as our 7th dman

K’Andre Miller looks poised for a monstrous break-out-season.
Wouldn’t be surprised if he is offer-sheeted by another club. Philadelphia tried to sign RFA Shea Weber a little over a decade ago with a 14 year, 110 million dollar deal with all crazy signing bonuses (no longer allowed under the current CBA) and I can’t blame them. K’Andre Miller is shaping up to being a foundational generational player.
If Drury’s and his agent can’t get something done before the end of June I wouldn’t be surprised if he is moved.
If there is one thing I have learned in his short tenure as Ranger’s G.M., Chris Drury does not walk away from assets.

I don’t see Miller signing with the Philadelphias. Rangers for life, in my humble opinion.
