Florida was in the division until this year.... otherwise it's been West..... the LA's etc
Yes. Exactly. Boston’s most common trade partner was in division. So I don’t think it’s something that they would be allergic too. Not saying a deal with Rangers will happen, but it can’t really be dismissed either.

nope....

Lucic wasn't in division... the Kings have never been in the Eastern Conference.

Been thinking about the team's situation on RD moving forward, with Trouba, Fox, Lundkvist, and Schneider. I'm assuming that the latter two won't be fully integrated into the team for another two seasons yet (probably Nils next season, and Schneider the season after that).

We know that part of the reason Trouba came here is because his wife was looking to do her residency in NYC. Barring a specialty in surgery, her residency will likely be finished in two years or so. In two years, Florida will be clear of both the Stralman and Yandle contracts. I wonder if Florida could be a good trade destination for Trouba at that time? Sunrise is right down the road from Ft. Lauderdale (where Trouba owns a house and spends his offseasons). Once she's done her residency, Trouba's wife can apply for jobs pretty much anywhere. I know a million things could change in two years' time, but Florida does seem like a potential solution to our RD logjam.

Columbus is "really open for business" right now. Something I just heard. Anything that we would want and would be realistic from that direction? Jenner? Roslovic? Laine??!! Not sure myself

I wonder if they know that regardless of who the HC is next season, that Jones is a goner and they look to sell a team 2 playoff runs with him.

Winnipeg?

When are some going to realize that may be Strome is the solution at 2C? All he's done since joining the Rangers is play well and produced. He meshes perfectly with the Rangers star player in Panarin.

The question we should be focusing on is what to do with Zbad. Take away those two games against Philly and he hasn't been having the best year.

Thank you! Strome isn't a 'sexy' player. But he produces. With AP and without him. HFB hivemind's feelings on Strome reminds me of their views on Pionk when he was NYR.

Lot of crappy armchair GMs here.

Even just beyond those games he's had against Philly, he's clearly been the Zbad of old since around early March.

The question is was his poor play earlier due to having COVID and/or thr funky season we have? The Rangers brass need to make a call this summer, either extend him or trade him. Don't need his impending UFA status dragging into next season.

Could we please stop with the Trouba trade fantasies. He has a full NMC for the next 3.2 years. He is n ot going anywhere. He wants to be in New York. He is also having a much better season than last year.

After the 2024 season when the NMC morphs into a limited NTC something could happen then but not before.

Stop trying to twist yourself into a pretzel over this.

Yes, but if you take away the two Philly games and then you also need to take away two games in which he did nothing. So if you look since the beginning of March, when his turnaround really began, and take away two games in which he got zero points and the two Philly games in which he got 12 points, that still leaves him with 12 points in 13 games.

His season has been a Tale of 2 Seasons.

Yes, the Rangers need to decide or figure out which of the 2 seasons we can expect going forward and why a decision should be made this offseason. It's going to be a huge commitment and will play a massive factor in this organizations success going forward.

If they resign him and he doesn't get back up to his play of last season and for the last ~month it's going to hurt.
