KAndre Miller probably has also saved Trouba’s Rangers career.
Obviously Trouba is overpaid right now, but he has not been the problem this season and Miller has been the best partner that he has had on the Rangers. Rangers have two very good pairings. The problem is the third pairing is a disaster; but this should improve next year when the other young guys are ready.

I just wish Trouba could hit the damn net with a shot. Pretty sure his point totals would increase from some juicy rebounds being put in. Maybe get closer to being worth that contract.

I'm glad we have Knoblauch in the wings, but if Quinn were all that stands between us and Torts, put me down as a big Quinn fan.

I don't know - we're not winning anything this year anyway and a few Torts press conferences would certainly raise the entertainment factor around here. ;)

How soon can the Rangers get Nils over?

Lulea’s regular season is over

Play offs start now, but Lundkvist is also contracted to the Swedish federation as a NT player, so the expectation is mid-June, after the Worlds

Posted 4 minutes ago, usually AK has a buzzer when it comes to prospects, especially Nils, and he answers right away.

I'm on it

I know this isn't the answer some people want to hear, but it 100 percent jives with what I've heard not only internally, but throughout the league.

Whether you love DQ, hate DQ, or fall somewhere in the middle, the end is not nigh at this time.

I think everyone is somewhere in the middle. I fall on the side of defending Quinn more often than not because the other side is so relentlessly and ridiculously negative in their assessment. But I certainly have some issues with how Quinn has coached this team. When I take a step back, this is what I see:
  • A team on the playoff bubble, likely missing the playoffs but could make a run at a spot if things break the right way
  • Young players taking steps forward and impressing, while others are not
  • A young team performing wildly inconsistently from game to game
These were all things that were expected at the beginning of the season, so we are not performing far off from expectations, and that's before even considering the crazy bullshit this team has been put through this year. Quinn could have done some things better, but the coach is always an easy target for the fans.

Pajuniemi is the dude I keep forgetting about - wonder if he's kind of a trade candidate with all the skill wingers we have, or if he'd influence our thinking on moving a guy like Gauthier.

Just to add to the above, carp said the Lemieux trade was sort of a “good riddance” move. Says Lemieux wasn’t happy here.

Also says that he expects Barron to be a deadline call up.

Lemieux wasn't happy
LA wasn't happy
Kravtsov wasn't happy
ADA wasn't happy

Anyone else see a trend here?

Kreider's look says it all lol

I would really like to give the kid a shot here (no pun intended) he seems to be a shooting machine. Of course he won’t sniff any pp time here.

Credit where credit is due, he's been fine since the stinker he had last time the Rangers played the Flyers at MSG and lost 5-4 in OT two weeks ago.

yah but stinkers should be expected. We’re in the division of doom playing against on most nights the best teams in the league And he’s going up against future hall of famers. We’re spoiled with Fox. That kid might have his number retired in 20 years. That’s not the norm. Miller is an absolute stud only going to get better.

You can probably add Lemieux to the list of young kids that came in and completely fell on their face under Quinn.

this kid was pretty decent with the jets at least put the puck in the net a bit. A 31st overall pick. Leaves unhappy and a shell of what he was when he got here. Shocker
