Boko Imama and Jake Virtanen are two guys I would love if Drury looked at this off season.

I would also like to see someone with more grit, like say Boone Jenner, for a legit top 9 role.

If they get a LD I’d Rather it be a 1 year vet like Giordano. No longterm commitment but they can afford to overpay short term

Calgary seems like a fit . They are going to shake things up. Monahan likely goes.

I wouldn’t want Gaudreau

It’s not only that Ola, you are correct but when teams play the rangers and win, shit embarrass us even it’s a big moral victory for them. NYR is on top of the mountain, whether we are rebuilding or not even bad teams come out playing with their best at us. We are a target. Much like the leafs. That’s why when I complain about the constant lack of effort at heartless robotic play it’s vital to have that NY attitude. We lost a lot of it when we lost ADA. It’s not just his offense on the backend. It’s that big swinging dick come and get it brashness that this team needs night in and night out whether we’re the youngest or oldest team in the league.
Teams need guys that stick up for each other, play bigger on the ice when they are on the team, it’s important knowing that if the shit goes down they have your back. Every team I have ever played for, you take a shot at one of mine I’m coming for 2 of yours. It’s severely lacking here for 2 seasons now

Great point.

I don’t have many beefs with Gorton, but a few big ones. Looking for conformity in the dressing room is one of them. It’s not only TDA. JT Miller also got a bad rep here, which definitely was a reason for him being moved. Like for what exactly? It’s not setting the bar very high.

The way Mika is responding to the questions really sounds like he's being dealt 100% :(

"I'll have answers for you guys in a couple of days" ... ok

We could get a great haul for him or Zibs + nothing too crazy for Eichel ... ugh.
Mika ain’t being a part of any Eichel trade. Could be sent somewhere else but Sabres aren’t taking him as part of that trade.

I am not advocating trading or not trading for Eichel because who knows how his neck injury impacts his play moving forward but if we did I would hope we add so Buffalo absorbs 25% and we find a team to launder 25%.
The Sabres would be on the hook for 2.5 million for 5 years. What would be the trade value of just the aspect and add to that the team laundering the next 1.875 million over 5 years what would that cost?
A healthy Eichel at $5.625 million for 5 years is a deal worth looking into.

Oh that’s just pathetic.
If the true reason why J.D. and Gorton were let go turns out to be what the organization is putting out there, then Quinn inadvertently through them under the bus with him publicly stating the reason for the lack of response to TW and his di@k move was “we are not built that way.” Comment.

I always liked Avery. He had a way of escalating the tensions in any given game. He wasn’t really a dirty player—neither a head shot artist or someone that went after knees but he knew how to get under skins.
Well said. I love players like that. I hate the dangerous ones more than anything but love the guys who get the other team off their game. Actually I put Marchand in the Avery category, which is why I like him. For every pound of flesh Marchand takes, he gives about five.

Maybe he checks in with the Rangers before he signs back in Caneland .If he is that good....how could they possibly compete with us in this regard ? What's stopping us from floating a number via a Brooks story that will catch his attention . What does he make right now in Carolina ? Rangers got money to write letters...surely they will pony up for a decent coach ? Seems like a no brainer .
I wonder if some of the reasons we like Brind’amour so much end up being the reasons he ends up staying in Carolina.
