I would think it shifts him to 3LW as a placeholder to Kravtsov in the eventuality that Kreider or Laf shifts to RW.

Not at a cost of not winning for another 5+ years. Their 1C is supposedly here for two more years during which they are far from a contention and then what? Lose him and back to square one again. Wash and repeat.

Maybe they should’ve sold out and showed commitment to build around him, and maybe now he signs long-term and break this cycle.

also, on a truly hysterical note (to me at least) 'New Kreider' looks f*cking exactly like my dad. I wonder if he is gonna cry at how 'Mario Luigi-esque' he looks now. Kreider looks like a poorly thought out Italian caricature OR a straight up 'Dick Dastardly' type.

Exactly. I wanna see a great camp from K'Andre and those two specifically. All three of them go rolling into the season is probably the best case scenario, but they all have the skill to do it.

So? He's a smart player who has played c most of his life, it wont be a problem. If he was always a winger it would throw a red flag but hes used to the position.
