Even if strome got 5 million at arbitration give it to him for a year. Let Chytil play 3c one more year and shelter him a bit more.
I can’t imagine they are gonna let him loose for nothing
so just more of the same even when our GM said publically he knows he needs to make changes?

Honestly very impressed that Lafreniere doesn’t have a Twitter account, although that would probably be a nightmare for someone with that much hype.

So an ECL player will become a 70 point player next to Panarin?
Playing an ELC instead of giving Strome 5 million for multiple years could very well allow for us to acquire or sign a 70 point/season player.

More importantly, I think some of us, maybe also the front office has given up on the prospect of Strome putting up 70 points next to Panarin, certainly next to anyone else. Only in your fantasy reconstruction of last season did this happen. It's time to wake up.

I’m so baffled by the Strome situation. Do they really think an arbitrator will reward him with less than 4.6 where they can’t walk away? In my mind I see him closer to 5-5.25. Idk just really odd.

Why not have competition? I mean if Barron cannot beat out Symmonds, does he really deserve to be on the team?
thats not the competition we need. What role would he fill? Enforcer?

Grabner makes sense. Simmonds does not. Grabner can still skate and PK.

As we've seen over the last 12-15 months, lots can change very quickly. These kids being drafted, specifically late in the 1st, are projected 3-4 years out.
I agree, just still think we should draft a bit on the desperate need for a center in a few years, esp if we aren't able to pay Mika..

That is not what I asked you. Or even close to it.

After you answer the actual question, please let me know how paying Strome prevents you form acquiring (trade or sign is same thing is it not?) a 70 point player.

Neither you nor I have any idea of what management believes. You clearly believe that he will not get that many. Fine. But even if he gets 50, who friggin' cares? There are extremely few second line centers that have that may points. And what money are they making?

My fantasy reconstruction? Was he or was he not trending to 70 points when the season got cut short? Should we look at what his points per game was?

longest day in awhile, so excited to add this kid. still don't feel real. keep hoping i refresh this thread and it jumps 10 pages for a move.

Brissssssson. I've been calling for him for a while. I think he could surprise and go mid-first, but I think it's likely he's there when we pick.
Yup.

Holloway.
I don’t see it with Brisson. At all. He can’t skate and I don’t like the factor with his dad being a mega agent within the sport.

Holloway is a fine pick at 22. He would not have been at the Rangers original slot though.
