i saw it on NHL network. freidman is in vancouver and sounded pretty sure that kreider to colo was a thing.

i agree theres no way they move #4 with byram and turcotte there.

16OA is a little light for CK so perhaps its 16 plus a prospect.

this is getting interesting.
You think an extended kreider could fetch us Tyson Barrie?

My mom's family is ancestrally from Norcia, based on their last name, but they always referred to themselves as Napolitano. So we suspect they migrated a little further south at some point many generations ago.

None of them fold and they look strangely at oversized slices. Keeping in mind that for the older generations, homemade pizza was a way to use up the last of the sauce with pizza that resembled flat bread and feed a larger family. Having cheese on the pie was considered a luxury and it was used sparingly or augmented with grated cheese.
My best friend thought he was Italian his entire life. Sicilian even if you know what I mean.
Well his big brothers wife got him a ancestral tree and they are Mainly Turkish. And polish. With a little Italian in there.

Hahah. I get such a kick out of it. He was mr. italiano growing up. Haha

On a plane, so I don’t have my texts. But from what you guys are saying, all this makes sense.

Greg, Steven and I chatted via Skype yesterday. Steven and I for a good 2 hours+.

None of this is a surprise. Though I will say Arizona was the front runner as of this morning.

OK now we're going to harass Steven and Greg.

@Amazing Kreiderman and @GregSirico, get your asses in here, we got some questions we need answered.

Similar to Bagels, it starts with the right water. There are pizzerias that get their water shipped to them from NYC.

A family friend of mine owned a pizzeria here in CT. They eventually moved to a different location and despite using the identical ingredients, the flavor was never the same. Crazy.
Needs more 'legend has it' ;)

Can't unsee,

Never tried to order a whole pie down there, but they did offer me another piece of pizza at one point. I said no buddy I'm not looking for a snack, I'll take the whole slice pls. Buncha weirdos.

A slice is what you order if you’re not getting a whole pie, but a piece is what you’re eating when you take it from the whole pie you order.

At least in my family growing up in NY.

Rangers trading for Barrie wouldn't make sense. A RD in the mold of DeAngelo or Fox (though obviously better offensively than either at this point) about to become an UFA after this year and they just traded for Trouba

There is so much smoke with Kreider and Vesey it does seem inevitable that they will be moved. Personally i don't think they should. Not just because i'm a fan of the player. Because i think he is the right fit for this Organization while it's in this transitional mode.

Reason 1 style of play

Relentless is the way this club wants to play. To do so you need to have a few elements to your game. Size and speed of course. Gritty style of play to go with it. Top line players who have the extra gear to create turnovers, and talent on the supporting cast to capitalize on the turnovers. Kreider fits that.

Reason 2 Veteran leadership

Its so amazing to think that this club has completely restocked the cupboard. In a few short seasons Gorton has done a tremendous job by giving Gordie the chances to bring in talent. Quinn is doing a good job of integrating that talent into the system. Drury and company are doing a great job of keeping the prospects on the right side of their development curve. The current club is like a rebuilt muscle car with a 426 Hemi that was bored out, a Tourque Flight tranny added, and just added the fancy positraction rear end. Its great to have all that power but if you put a teenager behind the wheel, he's likely going to crash and burn. New York in general is the type of city where a teenager or young adult can crash and burn pretty quick. Zibanejad got some leader to him. So does Staal. But Staal is all but cooked. Shatty is grasping at straws just to stick around. #20 IMO is far better used to keep these kids in line and help them through the developmental stage.

I want to see what Quinn can do with a top 6 with size that can all skate and has a couple of physical players to do the heavy lifting. In 3 years, when these guysare done cooking i want to see opposing defenses try to contain these 6 players below. Good luck with that!

Mika Zibanejad 26 yrs old
6'3 213lbs

Chris Kreider 28 yrs old
6'3 220lbs

Pavel Buchnevich 24 yrs old
6'3 201 lbs

Philip Chytil 19 yrs old
6'2 208 lbs

Vitali Kravtsov 19 yrs old
6'3 191 lbs

Kaapo Kaako 18 yrs old
6'1 194 lbs

There's 6 players outside of Hughes and Kaako that i would move #20 out for. If GMJG can get them into a position to land one of these players then i think you have to do it.

Podkolzin
Byram
Turcotte
Zegras
Cozens
Krebs

My fear however is that GMJG is about to trade Kredier out for a younger roster player. The Brassard/Zbad deal all over again. It's really hard to win a trade line he did that one 2x in a row.

my best guess would be colo really wants to add a power guy like CK to that roster thinking he would put them over the top. colo is too finesse speed oriented. CK has the speed but would add size to that top 6. his rep is defined by the carey price thing. hes thought of as a power forward guy. works if they pay.

CK on that top 6 is scary. i think they really like CK

agreed 4OA wont happen but if its 16OA and a legit prospect and 16 = newhook, then this is a good smart deal for a guy we dont want to pay

I wouldn't be so sure of Newhook being there at 16.
