Which Trek series is YOUR FAVORITE.

I'm an Originalist, so Classic Trek for me. There are bits and pieces from all the iterations I enjoyed, but Next Generation became too soap opera-y for me at the end. Deep Space 9 had a frontier town aesthetic to me that I liked, but the stories were more about the characters, not really the science. Voyager felt like Trek was trying to recapture the classic years, and Enterprise wasn't given much of a chance in my opinion. There were characters in that show I was starting to get attached to. Discovery I never watched. I think it is only on streaming? Ditto for Strange New Worlds, which is a shame because I think they were again trying to reboot the franchise. I was onboard for adventures with the pre-Kirk Enterprise until it was put on Paramount+ only.
Wow. Sorry for being so wordy. I guess I was more passionate about it than even I realised.
PS I will look into getting the Witcher book/s. I need new reading material.

What brought you to HF Boards: I started googling some Finnish prospects and ended up here. I am really passionate about prospects, mostly Finnish but I now like others too.
How you became a hockey fan: I don't remember a time when I didn't follow hockey in some way. I loved to watch team Finland play in the World championships or Olympics. First NHL memory is Selänne winning the Stanley cup. I became active NHL follower in 2010 when Mikael Granlund got drafted. His first game was a must watch. There wasn't many reasons to follow NHL before him.
How you became a Canes fan: I like the fans, the team is likeable and of course having Aho helps. I think the addition of Rantanen is cool too, but I mainly like the people here.
Favorite thing about being a Canes fan: Being around a great bunch of people here and being able to watch the games and feel like I can support for one team in particular.

What brought you to HF Boards: I started googling some Finnish prospects and ended up here. I am really passionate about prospects, mostly Finnish but I now like others too.
How you became a hockey fan: I don't remember a time when I didn't follow hockey in some way. I loved to watch team Finland play in the World championships or Olympics. First NHL memory is Selänne winning the Stanley cup. I became active NHL follower in 2010 when Mikael Granlund got drafted. His first game was a must watch. There wasn't many reasons to follow NHL before him.
How you became a Canes fan: I like the fans, the team is likeable and of course having Aho helps. I think the addition of Rantanen is cool too, but I mainly like the people here.
Favorite thing about being a Canes fan: Being around a great bunch of people here and being able to watch the games and feel like I can support for one team in particular.
Favorite Cane's Player(s): Aho; Kotkaniemi (funnily enough I own Kotkaniemi habs jersey and Aho canes jersey)

Hi everyone,
I am a long time lurker (I don't have the energy to post more than once in a blue moon) and I love this board.
I also figured you all would be able to help with finding a good hockey shop.

I am considering heading towards Raleigh or more likely Cary to buy a new pair of skates. I bought a pair there about 10 years ago, but they are a size or two too large so I want to get a pair that fit properly.

What shops would you all recommend for a proper fitting or just a decent variety of skates? (My size is in the junior/intermediate range)

Background:

I have skated off and on for a bit and am considering joining the developmental hockey league in my area after enjoying a handful of learn to play sessions and stick and puck sessions.

I am traveling from the Winston area and want to knock this out in one trip and not have to return any time soon.
