A week ago Trouba was going to cost us Buchnevich, Lundkvist and the 20th overall. All comes down to how much a GM values these players.

If you think Buch and Vesey are 25+ goal scorers in your top six then they're well worth that pick and then some.

And that return bamboozled people around the league. It turned out Trouba was pretty much forcing his way to NY so WPG was left with no choice. I don’t think the 8th overall pick is trying to force its way out of Buffalo. I’d love to be wrong but you’re setting yourself up for disappointment

So what are people’s opinions on Alex Nylander? Still only 21 but hasn’t looked great yet. Can his skating improve enough to be an effective NHL player?

There is basically nothing positive to point to since being drafted (unlike Puljujärvi who at least did very well in the AHL).

I feel Alex got a boost from the family name as a prospect, esp with William being as good as he's been.

Look at SuperElit numbers in their D-1 seasons for example:

William: 43 points in 27 games.
Lias: 59 points in 37 games.
Alex: 40 points in 45 games.

That's not the whole story of course, but Alex' numbers have always been a little underwhelming compared to his reputation. He did do well in his D season in the OHL, but that's his only real standout.

My mom's family is ancestrally from Norcia, based on their last name, but they always referred to themselves as Napolitano. So we suspect they migrated a little further south at some point many generations ago.

None of them fold and they look strangely at oversized slices. Keeping in mind that for the older generations, homemade pizza was a way to use up the last of the sauce with pizza that resembled flat bread and feed a larger family. Having cheese on the pie was considered a luxury and it was used sparingly or augmented with grated cheese.

Honestly think if they got that 4th pick they’d still take Cozens. I wouldn’t be mad either if that’s their guy. He’s got all the tools. Prob the guy they targeted all year before surprisingly getting number 2.

I would too. One is 24 one is 29 and going to demand a 7 year 7 mil contract. Doesn’t mean it should be an either or for us to move.

I honestly don't see Buchnevich moving.

Kreider and Vesey however are both toast.

My money is there for a number of reasons, one or which is the risk of moving Buch at this point.

plenty of GMs know they need to get rid of cap and plenty are trying to capitalize on it. Maybe just waiting for the unlikely but slightly better offers to drop dead before taking the offers on the table.

Not sure about how much he has matured, but in his draft year there were a lot of scouts that were turned off on him for attitude.

Sometimes it’s just not feasible. Like with a square slice. Or a really good slice that you want to savor and eat slowly. But it’s too late - the people have spoken and we’re going to jail

If we're talking NY style thin slice the only feasible exception not to fold is when it's cold.
