Tampa and Toronto are gonna kill each other only to get Boston in Round 2. The Rangers don’t have an easy path, even if they get past NJ they will probably have Carolina wanting revenge in Round 2. It’s a goddam shame that two really good teams in the East will be out after Round 1.

Meanwhile in the West in Round 1 you may have the ultimate matchup between Dallas and Seattle…

FFS the NHL needs to go to a 1-16 format. Even a 1-8 format isn’t gonna cut it because of the discrepancy in the two Conferences.

First round match ups are the best by far...after that the hockey is not worth watching unless your own club is involved or there is a Yankee like team that you all hate and cheer against to lose LOL....like it was for the Habs for years . Myself.....I sooner be out golfing at 6 AM then being up all night watching late games .

I feel like the Leafs matchup well against Boston and Tampa but we match up better against the Leafs than the other 2. In an ideal world I'd want TML in the ECF over the other 2.

Everybody has their own life experiences, but in my job and where I was raised, that kind of shit is about as cowardly (amongst the men I worked and grew up with) as you can get.

Steep price, but it includes 50% retention on McCabe through the next 2 seasons as well.

I also really don't see this solving their issues. If this doesn't get them over the hump, then they lost a lot of pieces for nothing. Plus they've brought in 4 new guys, and that can mess with team chemistry.

I'm excited for some good playoff hockey. Last year was great in the 1st round... tapered off greatly after that.

The playoffs format is set up to have some of the best matchups in R1.

Toronto's trade was very good. McCabe is a need for them and an absolute steal at 2m and Lafferty is a good role player as well.
