LOL

it's going to be an absolute WAR in the East.. Especially in that division.

This is the deepest Toronto has ever been. 2 great pickups. I was impressed with McCabe.

LOL at 2026 picks now in play... Irony in it... Only one of Tampa, Toronto and Boston survive. We lucked out in our conference.
Tit for tat.....Canes-Devils-Rangers.....and only one will survive . Our route will not be any easier .

Yes.

Those guys don’t get to choose their spots and they gave term left.

Really like torontos additions. They’ve added all the stuff and things in the form of bodies that are actually good

McCabe at 50% means 2M/season for this year and 2 more. This was the Tampa Bay template, if you are going to give a 1st, get a great discount for awhile.

Reactions: Go Rangers
The rangers are lucky with this type of playoff format. The atlantic teams are going to kill each other and the rangers cruise into the cup final.
Tampa and Toronto are gonna kill each other only to get Boston in Round 2. The Rangers don’t have an easy path, even if they get past NJ they will probably have Carolina wanting revenge in Round 2. It’s a goddam shame that two really good teams in the East will be out after Round 1.

Meanwhile in the West in Round 1 you may have the ultimate matchup between Dallas and Seattle…

FFS the NHL needs to go to a 1-16 format. Even a 1-8 format isn’t gonna cut it because of the discrepancy in the two Conferences.

The Metro route is much easier. We get Carolina who havent been past the 2nd round since the covid bubble and/or a Devils team that's been in the playoffs once this decade. Beats matching up against the best regular season team ever, the team that's been in the last 3 Cup Finals and a desperate and stacked Toronto team.

Yeah we're lucky we have to play NJ and Carolina. That's certainly a way of looking at it.
Honestly nj and carolina don’t scare me as much as the Atlantic. They’re good teams and I don’t wanna take anything away from that, but nj is not a big team, they’re inexperienced, and they absolutely can have huge goalie issues.

Carolina has mostly seemed paper Tiger for years. Great regular season, but doesn’t stand up in the playoffs.

Boston, Toronto and Tampa(less this year) are all just big, heavy, nasty teams loaded top to bottom with the right mix of skill and size.

That question was in response to the other guy. Kane out produced Meier last season even on one hip.
Oh, yeah obv Kane is the better player even at his age , he’s going to the hall of fame first ballot, Meier is good but he’s not Kane.

Like I said before the difference is one is a rental and the other is a core piece

I've been thinking this was the year for the Leafs for awhile now. It was a gut feel at first but I've liked their deadline moves too. The Lightning are going to miss McD & Palat in the postseason.

People love to dunk on the TML (myself included and it's SO fun to watch them flame out), but they are beating Tampa this year, I have no doubt.

Live lookin at the eastern conference playoff matchups:

you have no doubt? I have doubts.

I hope they do win though and even beat Boston. A Toronto vs New York ECF would be amazing for the league

I just hope for 7 games in every series.
