I'm truly amazed that there are some Rangers fans who are freaking out about what we have to do to get Kane. I wonder if it's just people who can't handle something that's not usual, or are overrating how important 2 games are a this point.
Same. Everyone is freaking out that we benched a player in game 60 out of 82 in order to get arguably the best American born player of all time.
IMO if a rental wins a cup, they’re a “real member” of the team. Why would you buy a jersey with a mercenary's name on the back? He's going to be here for a couple of months. He's not a real member of the team. To be clear, I'm not accusing Kane of acting like a mercenary. but that's what he is. We're not extending him.

Otherwise they fade into obscurity.
I knew a guy once who was a doctor- he had a Gretz jersey for every team he played for including the St Louis Blues. Some people just have a lot of disposable income to use on merch.
Me I just want a couple jerseys and signed pucks, maybe make a resin sealed table out of pucks
Yes exactlySo it makes sense when you remember that owners are cheap and penny-pinching?
I've bought no name/ number jerseys since the 80s. I root for the team.I tend to buy jerseys blank now, but my most recent named jersey I got , which was about 2 or 3 years ago, was Fox. I also own a Mika away, Kreider home, and the Fox one I mentioned. On top of a couple of Cally jerseys and a Lundqvist one. So I’m content for now, lol
The interesting thing when GMs come out and say stuff about their decision making process it kind of puts in perspective that a lot of these guys aren’t any smarter than we are. More knowledgeable? Sure. But their logical arguments are never something I’d give an A+ too on an undergrad paper

Miller isn't on the Canucks road trip.
Like thats all well and good but neither of them are the player they were then.
Plus Kreider-Zib-Tarasenko has been like running Leshitshow out there with 2 of his clones.
I see it exactly the same way. Therefore Chris must not trade that 1st in 2023.If you consider his overall resume you can argue that Kane is probably the best player we'll have acquired (if it goes through) since Gretzky. Like with Gretzky we're getting him at the tail end of his career so at best he'll help us for maybe 2-3 years if we can somehow fit him under the cap.
We're definitely going to be the biggest boom or bust team in the playoffs this season. I could see us winning it all and at the same time losing in the first round. What a weird time to be a Rangers fan...
Tampa has their top 6 spots filled, we didn't, we were short two right wingers, i dont know the cost of Kane yet but i think they did a pretty good job filling the roster out with Kane, Tarasenko, Motte and Mikkola, I'm typically not the biggest Drury fan but he's done a good job (depending on the Kane cost)It's interesting to see yet again Tampa pays a huge price to add a guy like Jeannot to their team. They've done this so many times and had so much success. Have they ever added a guy like Tarasenko or Kane at a deadline(aged/older guy who used to be really good)? Just seems like the wrong thought process for a playoff run. Many on here called for a move for Jeannot and I think it's a mistake the Rangers weren't in the mix for him.
Eh, I think a lot of them are smart, but you also need to realize their place as being employed in the equation. The interesting thing when GMs come out and say stuff about their decision making process it kind of puts in perspective that a lot of these guys aren’t any smarter than we are. He probably had the hardest upbringing of any player in the leaguePeople need to realize Panarins game has changed drastically. He was always a strong 2way player until Covid. He started floating and cherry picking.
He has another gear in him.... we've seen it from him. Hopefully that guy returns soon.
He's a guy that came from nothing and worked hard to get where he is... it's not in his nature to be a floater.. You can blame whoever for it but he needs to get back to his roots.
