The Rangers are back to $5.2M-$5.3M of accrued space. They were at $6.8M before the moves today.
How does that work? Wouldnt the accrued space go up by removing Blais?

It’s because GSVA is an absolutely terrible model that keeps getting posted without anyone understanding why it’s bad. Game score is a terrible metric for hockey, and then Dom makes it worse using Evolving Wild’s GAR/dollar factor that gives absurdly inflated salaries because it doesn’t factor in the salary cap. Having it weighted so heavily with shooting and save percentages just makes it prone to huge swings in variation, so I’m completely shocked that guys like Trouba and Trocheck are having some of the worst on-ice shooting and save percentages of their career.Nobody who's 91st percentile in xG is a league-minimum player.
I appreciate Dom's analysis of the hockey elements but his dollars and cents are off. He has guys either worth $20m+ or minimum with nothing in between.
That's not how a sport with somewhat subjective contract negotiations is going to work.
would be a disaster to continue losing assets like Cuylle and first rounders (unless its conditional to reach or win cup) for a one and done player we can not sign after season (or in cases like Kane should not sign)That would piss me the f*** off
Conditioning stints don't add space, and we called up Cuylle thereby decreasing cap space. How does that work? Wouldnt the accrued space go up by removing Blais?

Sam doesn’t know what's going on. Last night, he said the Rangers-Leafs game is a TNT game and it will be played tomorrow night. The game isn’t tonight. It's on Wednesday night.
Leschyshyn sucks absolute ass and i've already seen way more than enough of him. Has the hockey IQ of a donut.
It's a really sad sight when Gauthier knows where to be on the ice more than you.
if you can claim one of the worst regular skaters in the NHL for free you just gotta do it!He is truly awful. What was the logic behind waiving Jonny B for him?
Throwing shit at the wall to see if it sticks. At least they should have tried that with a guy who can shoot the puck like TolvanenHe is truly awful. What was the logic behind waiving Jonny B for him?
His father played in the NHL and he does things “the right way”He is truly awful. What was the logic behind waiving Jonny B for him?
there is no reason. There was no reason to pick him upHe is truly awful. What was the logic behind waiving Jonny B for him?
Yeah I'm right there with you. No reason for him to be up over Brodzinski.Leschyshyn sucks absolute ass and i've already seen way more than enough of him. Has the hockey IQ of a donut.

I wouldn't say Goodrow or Vesey are overslotted. They're not a disease in the top 9, but i'm very much with you that two middle 6ers that are better than them and forces them down to the 4th line would be very nice. How many forwards are overslot right now? Goodrow, Vesey, and Leschysyn (who isn't an NHLer)? If Drury can bring in a couple second/third liners at the deadline, suddenly the bottom half of the lineup isn't a black hole anymore.
Two thirty year olds. I’d like to have another for the future on hand. We also could use another top 9 forward even right this instant, so, win win.
Perfect time to have him in Hartford. Can continue training and see what happens from there playing games. Plus, I'd assume he will be getting 15+ minutes a night.Cuylle will probably be sent back to the AHL on Saturday. The Rangers are off until February 6. Four days on the NHL roster. 185 day season. $828,333 cap hit. $4477 per day. 4 days. $17,909. The conditioning stint is 14 days. February 7th. Blais will be on the Rangers cap.

If this doesn't work, he's on waivers or moved out to a bottom feeder with some kind of a pick swap involved.
Showcasing doesn't happen in real life.Cuylie showcase for Meier - Kane - he’s gone by deadline.
Brodzinski is quietly effective which is a death sentence for a 4th liner. He is truly awful. What was the logic behind waiving Jonny B for him?
