Just goes to show how we'd be f***ed one way or another if our young forwards met/exceeded expectations. Boldy gets 7x7 for 89 career games.
Good thing we don't have to worry about that.

Sure. Or maybe the kids aren’t scoring because the vets are struggling at 5v5. Hard to say, right? Hahaha. But who would you normally look to to be more responsible, kids, journeymen, or vets?Is it possible that the vets are struggling at ES because their options for linemates are bottom-six journeymen or kids who can’t finish. The Rangers do not have a complete first or second line.
Hahaha. Genuine laugh.Good thing we don't have to worry about that.

That's insane...
I'm not sure - it's a cap league and it feels like everyone's running the same kind of mishmosh we are. Zibanejad and Kreider aren't scoring a ton, but they're matching up against other teams' top forwards and a lot of those guys are just going to be better than them. I don't think Trocheck and Panarin play well together, and they shouldn't have signed Trocheck if their only plan was to play him with Panarin. Is it possible that the vets are struggling at ES because their options for linemates are bottom-six journeymen or kids who can’t finish. Fair point. But still, less than 90 games, 7x7…More and more teams are doing this to create cap space down the line. They are taking the outsized cap hit now (relative to production) and gambling that in 3 years, the player's production will exceed the cap hit. Look at the contracts to Thompson, Hughes, and Suzuki. These teams think that in a few years, they will be contenders and have their 1C locked in at a bargain cap hit. It's not a bad move if you identify the right player and have the cap space for it. But we never seem to have the cap space to make this kind of move.
Very possible if not likely. Is it possible that the vets are struggling at ES because their options for linemates are bottom-six journeymen or kids who can’t finish. The Rangers do not have a complete first or second line.

We do though. Chytil and Kandre are playing themselves into huge raises at the same time.Good thing we don't have to worry about that.
Go on.Trying to start an intelligent conversation on this board is getting harder and harder
Trouba $8 millionYou are not adding anything here
Haha yeah that must suck lol *loads shotgun*Just goes to show how we'd be f***ed one way or another if our young forwards met/exceeded expectations. Boldy gets 7x7 for 89 career games.

There's a good chance he does get bridged. That's just how it's gonna have to be with a flat cap and the Rangers having all that money tied up.Yeah, I know. It was a good line though, eh?
KAM, if not bridged (and that's a shitty risk), is going to cost A LOT of money. Chytil, too, with any kind of term.
Tampa Bay would be highly interested to try to re-acquire him, as Elliotte Friedman said on HNIC the other night.I'll talk to you bobbop. Schenn might be a good depth add and he shouldn't cost a whole lot. I think he'd be another piece, however, as opposed to being THE piece on D.
Only FoxAnyone else voting Miller and Fox into All-star weekend?
Would 7 mil 8 years be good for Miller and the Rangers, or is he worth more than that?
Canucks President Jim Rutherford had a press conference earlier this afternoon. Says, basically, they're screwed when it comes to re-signing Horvat. They just finished a road trip in which they went 1-5 (only win yesterday vs CAR in a shootout). Ekman-Larsson, big cap hit, was a healthy scratch for a game last week, has been awful. Rumours about Rick Tocchet being hired to replace Bruce Boudreau as head coach. That organization is a dumpster fire.

I'm still hoping for Chychrun... any updates on that front? has the price change at all?Someone who may be available at the right price is Luke Schenn.
