You don't bring in someone making $2.25m to play on the 4th- same guy put up 26G and 60Pts last season. If you trade for him and play him on the 4th, he's walking as a UFA at season's end.

I like Mikkola for the third pairing though.

I’m assuming getting a player at 50 off but If STL retains its likely OReilley and Tarasenko

Now is as good a time as any to send Lafreniere to Hartford. Guy hasn't improved one bit and even regressed compared to last season. After sitting a few days ago he doesn't look motivated or playing with a jump. I'm looking for anything from this kid, anything at all that tells me he can be a top 6 forward in this league.

Haha...I have to recoup on my 2200.00 membership fee . May until Halloween goes by quick . The guys that can play year round have it so good . I'd almost bet Turk plays almost every day he is home here on PEI . He plays our course many times . I love playing....so addictive. They are building a retirement village at our course...450 grand gets you a nice spot and walk onto the golf course . Many are buying them and then migrating South to Florida homes for retirement years .

$2200 a year is a crazy good deal for a membership.

He started out so promising.... then it all decayed into what it is now.

When he skates, he's a different player. The entire team struggles with consistently moving their feet and staying in motion.

We need a better system and a militant approach to conditioning/training/practice. It doesn't mean the coach needs to be an asshole like Torts. Brind'Amour has his guys ready. What would this team look like if they attempted to play how Carolina plays? They'd be vomiting on the bench

You need to practice/train how you will play. This teams practice looks like a Kindergarden recess.

It's worse. He kicks up his skates, does lazy 180s, and tosses his stick out super casually for hopeless blocks. It looks so incredibly bad.

And then promptly doesn't change and stays on other people's shifts, all the f***ing time, while the coach just eats it.

You can be a players coach and not allow that shit.

Rangers should be sellers if they’re being honest with themselves, try and get out of some horrible contracts and load up on this good draft, but Drury is 100% going for the win now route just so we can barely make the wildcard and then lose in round 1. Stay away from Chychrun, Kane, Domi, etc

LMAO. They are 11-2-2 in last 15 with wins against Toronto, Vegas, Devils, Avs, Canes, Piles in that span. They are on pace for 102 points in a really good division and playing better overall than last year's 110 point team that went to the ECF. This team can beat anybody in a 7 game series except maybe Boston. It's ok when they don't get 2 points in a game. I seriously don't know what games you and others watch.

Chychrun would be nice but doesn't fix the structural problem on the team - they need to swap 2 or 3 of the the chill forwards with guys who are hard to play against, impose their will somehow whether physically or by speed.

Theres not enough forwards who make the other team uncomfortable and get them out of their preferred rhythms. If anything the Rangers kind of match those rhythms which is not a particularly good quality.

Till that changes it's punchers chance with Shesty and hope Fox or Mika shows up. Which will work some but not enough.

To piggyback on my post, I think the smart additions are already on the roster. Their names are Panarin, Laf, and Blais. Those are 3 guys who can make other teams uncomfortable, if they decide to stop sucking.
