Since the trade-

Pavel Buchnevich: 42G 62A 104 Points
Sammy Blais: 0G 9A 9 Points

Guys, not to be the bearer of bad news, but I am really starting to consider that this may in fact have been a bad deal for the Rangers.
Easy there. Takes 3 years to fairly evaluate a trade. Blais can still turn it around & score a goal at some point.

Waits for the inevitable chorus from the grit fellaters of "Don't worry! Blais is just finding his skating legs still. Did we mention the knee injury? At least he hits people!"

*headdesk*

LOL

Blais still having a 10% career shooting percentage is pretty funny as he is now 47 career games here without a goal.

Nothing like a fluke 25% shooting percentage in 20/21 season.

The av's won with one of the most talented first pairs in NHL history, and a very good 2nd pair.
They also had a top 6 that was going goal for goal with edmonton.

STL run binnington played out of his mind. He's just not consistent. But he doesn't get on that run, they dont win.

Boston has Lindholm- McAvoy on the blueline with Bergeron/Marchand/Krejci/Pasta/Hall on offense (+ just ton of quality depth) and I’d put money on them going all in this year because they’ll collapse next year because of the cap

If Rangers end up adding Kane/something similar they’ll jump into the top tier in the East

I don’t see Kane as that impressive, especially when he wouldn’t be getting pp time, and messing with the lines that finally seem to be clicking a bit.

I’d rather a 3rd line wing for Chytil and Laf, and a ld.

Kane left the Hawks game after the 2nd period last night. He suffered a knee injury in the Hawks previous game against San Jose. He tried to play with the injury last night. These old guys are getting hurt. ROR. Tarasenko. Kane. The Hawks are off today.

Kane to BUF
ROR to TOR
Horvat to Boston
Toews to Colorado

Rangers should be playing in the depth market at forward. Tarasenko is a good fit but he's had a ton of injury problems, im not trading a first or Krav for him.

We still need an upgrade to the 3rd pair.We cannot go into the playoffs with Harpur in the top 6.That should be priority #1 for Drury this trade deadline

you got me wondering - does anybody remember other than draft picks what player(s) were being offered in trades for buch? surely could have gotten back more than blais at that time?

kucherov is capping at around 9 million. led the league in scoring with 128 pts. bread signs with us and is capped at approx. 11.6 and earning 12.5 million. did we overpay by say over maybe 2 million? would bread have chosen us for 2 million less? ny state tax most likely came into play. in that regard blame ny state tax codes for making it real real hard to retain buch and get back a crappy haul.

Bread so far has earned his contract, 293 points in 225 games here imo. 18 in 23 playoff games
