Yes, no and no.Has anyone kept an eye on Brandon Lemieux? Has he improved his decision making? Would he be worth bringing back at the deadline, we could use a guy who will stand up to people but is also young and can skate. Him, Goodrow and Gauthier might be interesting.
He has to go just like Hunt before him because the coach puts him in the top 6 where he doesn't belong.Another 1 year at 1M i’m more than happy with. At least he looks like a capable bottom 6 NHLer unlike all the deadweight we’ve had like Rooney, Carpenter, McKegg and Hunt.
This. Exactly this.He has to go just like Hunt before him because the coach puts him in the top 6 where he doesn't belong.

He averages less EV TOI than everyone he should and more than everyone he should.This. Exactly this.
Actually he’s ok filling in up the lineup. As opposed to Hunt, for example. He has to go just like Hunt before him because the coach puts him in the top 6 where he doesn't belong.
He will just be replaced by some other very cheap vet forward who is overused. It’s partially the coach, but it’s also the reality of the salary cap impacting team depth and having a skilled team with too many players that stop doing the little things too often. Last year it was Hunt, year before it was Blackwell, this year it’s Vesey. We had a nice run with Fast but he and guys like Hagelin are hard to hold onto if you’re paying a lot for your top 5-6 players on your team. When it’s multiple coaches over many years doing the same thing, it’s just a reality. He has to go just like Hunt before him because the coach puts him in the top 6 where he doesn't belong.
Having Fast walk for nothing is one of the bonehead errors of the decade.
Of course you can find 2M AAV for a quality guy like that; on and off the ice. If I recall, we couldn’t be bothered with him, allocated that money for Patrik Nemeth (3 years at 2.5M AAV).
Jesper Fast, annual Players Award recipient. Locker room leader, defensive wizard, glue-guy, versatile, high-IQ player…
Really shameful decision making.
Please tell me how much they overpaid for his services this season?Vesey will have a Del Zotto career. Play for 5-10 different clubs never meeting expectations but being perfectly serviceable in a limited role.
The Rangers will continue to be the Rangers and play these types of players over their heads paying them more than market rate.
Sure but tarasenko and ROR are the only two pieces that they have that would be "sold"Tarasenko and OReilley hurt but it may lead to STL selling. Either guy an option
While absolutely possible, no need to rush anyone. All three above may need more time in AHLFurthermore there's guys like Cullye, Berard, Othmann that need spots going forward, paying any more than league minimum for a guy to do what Vesey does is dumb and I'd really question the management group if they do something that dumb
Unnecessary for either guy to play. Cullye can play 4th line next year, Othmann likely joins the team, maybe Berard.
Why? To bolster a one trick pony group that is iffy to even make the playoffs?Hold onto the 2023 1sts. But the 2024 1st could be on the table.

Theyre not moving Thomas or Kyrou.
yeah I would, I think it would be worth the upgrade for this season plus another 1st in this draft would be nice.If Vancouver offered their 2023 1st (top 3 protected) + Horvat (would be pure rental for us) for Lafreniere; would you consider it? Close? Modifications?
I mean you would kind of have to, but I don’t think that’s happening. If Vancouver offered their 2023 1st (top 3 protected) + Horvat (would be pure rental for us) for Lafreniere; would you consider it? Close? Modifications?

I'm not trying to be a dick or anything... I just haven't seen one thing from this group to make me think they're a deadline trade away from anything other than "slightly better" mediocrity
