Fox's biggest issues in adapting to the NHL are all going to be related to play in his own end and defending against the rush. He's a tremendously talented offensive player and is a wizard on the PP but he certainly has plenty of things to work on in his game.

Barring injury all of Fox, Shestyorkin, Rykov, Reunanen, Kravtsov and Kakko should be going to Traverse. The guys I don't expect to be there are the guys playing in European leagues and the guys who will be playing college hockey.

He outscored Makar as well when you takes missing games into consideration.

Different player than Makar, who I think will be Karlsson-lite.

Fox is in the mold of a Rafalski, Ellis type of player. Who were and are very effective players.

Makar also had better support from the forward group at Amherst. He was his team's leading scorer but only by two points. A defenseman outscoring everyone on his team by 17 points in a 33 game schedule is in off the charts territory and Harvard is a good team. Pro rate that to an 80 game schedule and you have a defenseman leading his team in scoring by 40 + points.

If you go back 20 years or so in college hockey, Fox's numbers are historically elite.

Now the ECAC isn't sporting the highest level of competition as other college leagues, but the numbers are staggering.

I know of at least 1 team that had him as the best defenseman not playing in the NHL last summer.

I get having a belief that Fox could end up better, but how at this point could anyone claim it so definitively?

ADA has proven a lot more than Fox at this point. There were points of last season where he was arguable the best defenseman on the ice. This conversation will be a lot more interesting a year from now.

The best defenseman on a team with shatty, Staal, pionk, mcquaid, Cleassen, and skjei isnt saying much at all

Not saying anything about the fox ada debate here but let's be real... ada had a solid end to the season. But just because he was the best defenseman in that group just really isnt saying much

I'd assume because he wanted to see how Fox performed against higher competition and pending free agents don't normally play in the World Championships.

Please do not ruin the narrative. DeAngelo cannot play in games overseas because there is too much risk for an international incident if he starts berating the foreign officials.
