You kinda lost me on this one.
Just referred to how I called that if Gorton and co kept DQ around, it would cost them their job.
Do you still feel that the only issue with DQ is how much ice time Blackwell got? And maybe some too many men penalty?
You kinda lost me on this one.
Laf is going nowhere. He's the future captain.
I think most agree here. The question is, what is a pile of assets. I am probably more okay than others moving a guy like Chytil + secondary assets (read not Lundqvist, Kravtsov, Schneider). Georgiev, Howden, Gauthier, Jones, Reunanen, Barron. Those guys are on the table.
Guess I'm just freaking out over people saying Dolan is going to f*** things up. Laf, Kakko, Fox, Shesty should all be untouchables.
combined with the last Vogl tweet above, it sounds like management knows the time to trade Eichel is now, long before his NMC kicks in, during the off season when they can move a $10M contract so they are refusing him the option for surgery if the recovery time is as severe as you mentioned.
Even if Dolan does try to strong arm things, we're looking at Kakko, not Lafreniere.

The Dolan talk is just Sabres fans trying to convince themselves that their unrealistic expectations are possible.

wait what
Kakko is added to my untouchables list given the medical question marks surrounding Eichel.
Ryan Strome end of season exit presser.
Vegas would kill for Mika. Their center depth stinks or is unproven, and everywhere else they are a solid contender for the cup. I’m telling you right now the best we can hope for from him is 6x10. That’s a pretty large investment that takes him to 35. Id explore every other option I can before committing to that. And I’m a big fan of mikaI would believe that there would be a team or teams out there who would like to bring Zibanejad in and offer him a contract almost immediately. They would be teams looking to win in the next 3-4 years, say Colorado or Vegas as examples. There may be others. I would ask the player where he would like to play after determining what teams would be interested and work out a sign and trade with one of those teams.
The Rangers will know what his contract requests are. They can share that with the team(s) that are interested and if the new team(s) and Zibanejad are close they may pull the trigger.
That way the player has financial security going in to next season when he could get hurt and lose market value. There is risk in Zibanejad going in to next season without an extension as well.
We've mentioned Vegas multiple times but a team like Colorado would be a home run for a player like Zibanejad too.
Where is Vegas getting the cap space for Mika?
Seth Jones said Monday, “I really have to take a step back and think about what I want.”
For a rental? I am talking about long term, why would we be taking on team's cap space for prospects at this point in the "rebuild".Rangers could always retain and/or take back a contract.
Mika @ 50% is sub 3 million. That isn't hard to fit.

Brian Boyle was added to USA for the World Championship tourney?I feel like we have under discussed whether BBKer's "BB" is Bruce Boudreau or Brian Boyle. The timing of Boyle's addition to Team USA ran by Drury and them having played for 2 years together, and being a center great on face offs, I think that's probably more likely?
