Is there an amount to how many drinks one can have until making sense of the Rangers game plan?
Agree 10000 percent. With the amount of games he has played and his style, I would be very leary of re-signin him long term.
There is a reason he is always hurt come playoff time.
I can definitely see the logic here. But a guy his age, coming off of a major knee injury, fitting in on a team that's based around speed? Seems so backwards.
I said a while ago when the Stepan talk started that I could see Marleau and Thornton going all Selanne/Kariya and taking cheap deals to play here. That would mean the Rangers would have to move a wing. Maybe there's a team that really likes Miller and would move a good RHD for him.
The NY Rangers. Where failing to sign the biggest free agent on the market means your rebuild has failed.
That would be the scenario. If you could parlay Miller into Trouba, you get your top pairing RD that you can sign long term.

I would say trade McDonagh ASAP but the trade value of defensemen is the lowest it has been in a lonh time. And with or without him, a Cup in the next two years is really unlikely.
No mans land.

Sounds good in theory, but I think the Trouba dream would have to wait until next summer and the rumors of contract extension turmoil start up again. Plus if the Jets still want D, they'd have to find a good, young LHD in exchange for Miller that would entice them. Not sure who that could be.

RB keeps pushing the idea of trading Miller for Hanifan.

Is there any merit to this Hanifin Duchene thing I just saw on my Twitter?
