I'd rather investigate Justin Williams than Oshie at this point.
If Klein retires we have $23 million
Shattenkirk- 7
Zibanejad-5
Oshie- 5?
Dadonov-4?
2 million free still
Fast?
I want nothing to do with Oshie and Shattenkirk. Good players but the Rangers are going in a direction that shouldn't include signing 29/31 year olds to 6-7 contracts

Open to all of this... I'm more than OK with assembling a package of both 1st rounders to Colorado for MacKinnion... For Duchene, I'd send just a single 1st rounder + a mid-tier prospect (they can have Graves).
Outside of that, I like your draft choice ideas
Zucc is a Ranger FOR LIFE
I expect Deangelo to play on the second pair and attaached at the hip to Staal..
Mcdonagh-Skeji
Staal-Deangelo
Holden-Smith
If Chicago gets turned down by Oshie, I'd approach them about Nash.
We'd have a team of skilled goons, and I'd love itFrom what I'm reading, Kane and DeAngelo could never co-exist
I'm sure Staal will be thrilled getting into all the scuffles that AD will start after the whistle.

$7.5M in cap space cleared.
Assuming Kinkaid signs for $600k, that's $6.9M in cap space cleared plus an NTC dropped from the roster.

They don't have cap for Nash
Or for Oshie. Idk what the hell theyre doing
Considering the $ they lost with Hjallmerson and Hossa gone, if the NYR retain, they could fit nash.
Still sending out positive vibes to Dale Tallon...you want Marc Staal, you want Marc Staal...
I would absolutely 100% flip #21 + Staal for E. Kane
And i'd be doing backflips the entire time.
E.Kane, for all his warts, is a perfect fit for AV hockey. Marc Staal..for all his positives (and he does have many), is an absolute abomination for AV hockey.
I'd give up an asset to do that trade.
Heck, if they want us to keep 21 and just eat half his contract, id be fine doing that as well.
Would retain 50% on Nash's contract and Chicago would pay through the nose to do it. They need cheap depth options with short term commitments because of the two mega contracts on their roster--Nash is only for a year, and if they try to move Hossa to Zona for cap space, then Nash would be a perfect slot in.
NYR have $26M in cap space right now if Klein retires. If they move Staal at 50% instead that would be almost $29M in cap space.
Has florida made any moves yet?
