Can someone do a quick.rundown on those 4? They all centers?
Only read up on d that early

Yeah they're all centers.

Suzuki and Andersson are smaller, but really quick and play complete games. Petersson is ultra skilled, but a little skinny and needs some work on his defensive game. Glass is a great all around center with excellent playmaking ability.

Too high for Andersson for me, as well as Suzuki, but Glass and Petersson would be fantastic picks there.

Would Hayes, the #21, 2018 #1 be enough for MacKinnon. Answer is probably no but just spitballing.
I proposed Hayes+21OA, 2nd '18, Gropp/Graves.

I think the Rangers can compete next year if they make the right moves.

Dont trade Zucc, Mac, or even Grabner. Maybe trade Nash but I would rather keep him and move him at the deadline.

You can bring in the right pieces through free agency while starting your rebuild

Zuccarello is the heart of this team IMO... trading him would be a massive mistake.

Trading McD for a franchise center (MacKinnon) has to be considered. With the emergence of Skjei... Staal not going anywhere and Graves in the wings... re-sign Smith... look at Shattenkirk if the price is right...

Did you watch the playoffs? Holden was scary bad.

He was but he is much better than 18. 18 does not have an OZ of offensive ability left, flails his stick at everything then we gotta hear Sam and Joe talk about the "long reach" and he cannot skate. Skates like a kid trying to break in a new pair of roller hockey skates.

I mean, if the 7 turns into a better center than Stepan in 3 year, then great but ooof, we better make good of it.

Comparables?

Call me crazy but from what I've seen from kinkaid I would very much like that signing . More than capable backing up Hank with one of the best goalie coaches in the business .
Radulov was dynamic last but stay far away considering term he is asking.
If big Joe wants to come for a year fine if not no thanks.

Nothing to do with Staal. Holden sucks. Staal sucking has nothing to do with Holden simply sucking as well. It's not because Staal is anchoring Holden. Holden genuinely sucks.

I'm still upset because Stepan is one of my favorite Rangers, but if I try to be objective about this, we're adding much needed talent and still have good depth. I still think there's a bigger move out there, but for now we should be looking good 2 years down the road.
