I was really adamant that McPhee was going to build a strong team and not just tank, but I completely forgot about how awful he is when it comes to evaluating talent.

I'm really mad about all of this, and I don't know why, I don't care if LV is good, I just want to see people be smart

Better have a ton of picks in his back-pocket from some of these teams.

It was said on twitter by one of the Sportsnet guys (Shannon?) that Vegas took some UFA's and are nearing completion on contracts with them. Maybe they took Oshie and will give him a lucrative deal? :dunno:
Can't see them passing up on those two for negotiating rights.

I just wouldn't be so quick to pencil him into the lineup after a injury plagued mediocre year in the AHL. You're setting yourself up for disappointment. I'd bring in a veteran stopgap.

Let me quote myself:

I thought Nieves was pretty good when healthy last season, and the team clearly likes him. I think there will be a few fringe fourth liners brought in to complete with him, but I bet the team hopes he wins the spot.

I'm fairly certain the team will bring in veterans to compete with him. In no way, shape or form have I penciled him into anything.

Not every single expansion pick is about BPA though. One of the quirks of expansion drafts.

I would do Stepan for Galchenyuk with a slight add. He has shown franchise center potential and that is despite being sabotaged by the horrendous coaching of Therrien.

And he's going to be a franchise center here with the sabotage coaching of AV?

Hrivik is gonna be collecting social security in a few years and still can't make the NHL. He sucks let him go play in some beer league in Europe.

I would like Brad Richardson from Zona, whether in a Stepan or Raanta trade or they go as a package. Signed for one more year at 2.25 mill, assuming he is recovered from his broken leg.

How are you smart enough to pick Schlemko, and then go and pick ****ing Bellemare and Engelland.

Picks. Picks. Picks. Better be getting some picks.

Those big hits and grittiness is going to win over fans' hearts. heart/60 is something you stat nerds can't compute.

do we have any other C aside from Hrivik and Nieves that could potentially win the 4C spot?

And AV has a stellar rep with young guys...

Stepan for Galchenyuk would require a lot more than a slight add

id do Stepan for Galchenyuck + 1st + Prospect

Schlemko and Miller are good picks

I don't see any reason why Vegas should try to be good for the first couple years. Load up on picks and prospects

Bellemare is great guy, excellent locker room presence, I think that is why he was picked by Vegas.
