he was just following up on all the Stepan to Zona hoopla he created. And then making sure everyone comes back on Thursday morning so he can drum up some more drama.
 
I want a complimentary breakfast for all the hype that lead no where. Mike Smith is the headline for the deadline. If we didn't have Marc Bergevin doing weird **** every off season, this pseudo deadline would have been totally dead.

If they traded Dumba for assets. Sets themselves up to lose Scandella if they protect Brodin and Spurgeon with Suter.

Or, it's easier to make a trade with LVGK if there's only the one guy to pick from.

Now LVGK has two of them to pick from.

Now they can keep the one they really want, then work out a deal to protect one of the other two. They couldn't take assets back without likely having to expose someone else, or settle for picks and prospects. They don't need futures. They're trying to win now.

Seems like a weird spot for the Knights to be in. They're going to have a really nice defense for a team that was supposed to only be stockpiling draft picks. :naughty:

Why? They have inside info with all the teams...The Rangers WILL be making moves, sometimes deals don't always materialize, doesn't mean they weren't very close to dealing Stepan, or doing some other blockbuster.
 
The big reveal on the 21st is that there's no secret LV trades and the expansion was a hoax to increase rating for the NHL Award Show.
 
The Wild ****ed up big time IMO.

Vegas holds all the negotiating power to choose Brodin or Dumba.

Another possibility, though seems kinda unnecessary, given that if LVGK selected him and he didn't want to go there, he could just hit the open market on 7/1 (and likewise, if he DOES want to go there, he can just ignore the Rangers' contract overtures and then go to LV on 7/1).
 
Dumba/Brodin/Scandella from Vegas sounds nice to me...
Might be able to get him cheaper too considering they'll get him for free

Otherwise we waste that extra protection slot on Holden. I'd rather dangle Holden out there to tempt VGK to not take Grabs, Fast, or Lindberg. Cheap defenseman who hit 34 points, maybe they value him differently than we do.

These insiders are 85% wrong. Don't understand why we put anything into these people. Honestly i trust some of these guys on HF over these Insiders.
 
Was Girardi ever officially bought out? Rangers only announced they were going to but I don't think it was made official yet. He's still listed on the Rangers roster on their site.
