Enjoy? I would vomit if our team resembled this. Sam Reinhart sucks.

Thank you for your opinion.
Reinhart will break out over this/next yr if he is in the right place to succeed.
Obviously we disagree.

Manson is 6'3" 205+ lbs.
I never said he was an undersized shrimp.
I'm guesstimating 6'2"-ish is avg, so he is above avg size there

But Hayes has more size at C, further above avg, and will be answer we need vs. Getlafs, Kospitars, etc

I would trade Miller+ or Hayes+ for Manson
A foolish and severe mistake.
I have nothing vs Manson, just won't use that currency.

It's always about size with you. You would have us go after Megna, Hanzal and Franson, just because they are tall.
I am on record as vs. Franson
never said so, but ditto on Megna
Hanzal, a stop gap 1 yr only under these circumstances
So wrong, I would not have us go as you say I would say.

Whether you like it or not, the sports adage is USUALLY the good big man beats the good little man. Not the opposite.

TIL 6'3" is regular size.

Yeah but "get bigger" and "get younger" and "YOUTH YOUTH YOUTH"
Better than smaller, slower, older
....
but one would think you knew that by now.
Perhaps not.

I love how bernmeister doesn't want to trade Hayes for Manson because Manson is just average size (6'3" / 216 lbs) but then trades for the towering Julius Bergman (6'1" / 205 lbs) hahaha
Bergman is RD ELC and a fit for immediate needs and from what I can so far projects as across the board okay+.
His acquisition is secondary to moving Nash for SJ1st 2017 = 19OA, and massive cap relief.
He may be across the board solid enough for actual righty RD, second pair, which we will need.

I would not say no to Manson if we pay in the correct currency, and I would even reasonably overpay in that currency to get him, but he's a great shutdown D based on his strength, and that's about it. He is not across the board excellent.

I see your apparently witless hahaha and raise you
:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::naughty:;):D

I think it's clear brooks lost his source in the front office and now he's blindly throwing darts at a board hoping something hits bullseye

Wait, who would say no to that deal?

Which deal?

I assume you mean the Colorado one, in which case I think both sides say no

Colorado has no need to trade for older guys like Step and McD when they are attempting to rebuild

And in the same vein, while MacKinnon is a great great piece, the drop off between McD/Stepan and Barrie is too much for the Rangers to do that deal

Larry is just throwing things out there and seeing what gets him clicks (clearly his last MacKinnon piece did well, so he threw the idea out again)

Thank you for your opinion.

Obviously we disagree.

Maybe he will, maybe he won't. Reinhart isn't the answer to all our problems.

Makes joke -> Getslafs

But seriously... Manson is a top-pair RHD. Hayes is a 3rd line center. Has is not doing an awful lot with his size. It's easier to replace a 3rd line center than a RHD. Hayes for Manson is a great deal for us.

A foolish and severe mistake.

Because you are focusing on size, and size alone.

But... Megna is big. Size matters. You said so. Apparently nothing else matters.

Better than smaller, slower, older

Perhaps not.

You can't win a Cup with a team that has an average age of 23. It will never happen.

I still don't know where you get these ridiculous proposals. There's no way San Jose is offering that package for Nash.

I personally don't know that much about Dvorak, does he have the potential to be a 2C?

Yes. Maybe more, but that's too much to hope for, at this point. Dvorak will probably fight with Hayes for the 2C spot and with the way Hayes has played, it's not out of the question Dvorak wins that battle

I just ran the expansion draft tool on cap friendly, it's possible Vegas ends up with quite the list of defensemen.

De Haan
Dumba
Demers
Methot
McNabb
Vatanan/Manson
C Miller
TVR
Merrill

I think Coyotes fans might be the most ridiculous fans on these boards. They criminally overrate their prospects and players. Saw some on the main boards the other day say they wouldn't even deal Crouse + 2nd for Stepan. Christ.

I would take anything Brooksie says with a big grain of salt. there is a reason he isn't well liked in the locker room

That looks like it will definitely be their strength going into next season.

Solid group to put in front of MAF/Mrazek. I said it earlier, but if they end up with Dumba, Demers, and Vatanen, one of them will assuredly be dealt for help up front.

They're going to have a solid team if they make a couple of shrewd deals, and a boatload of draft picks to go with it.
