It’s funny because you’d think his agent would have told him/his family to stop over the summer when he was liking tweets about his contract

But evidently not lol
This one is so much weirder to me. He's still under contract for another five months, why do we need to be put on notice that it might be another contentious round of contract talks?

Would Philly have any interest in Tony D? What would be a good package for Tony and Fast? Ghost + 3rd + conditional 2nd in 2021?
This is horrific.

Net front presence isn't affected by aging?

Because deflecting pucks or banging in rebounds isn't dependent on reaction time... and reaction time isn't one of the things that's affected by age?

Dave Andreychuk was a 20 goal scorer into his 40's largely based on his net front presence. Kreider has the tools to do that until his mid 30s.

If we're signing Russian UDFA forwards I want Tkachev over Barabanov any day of the week.

Am I like missing something or does the hockey media know something we don’t?

Our beats are writing about DeAngelo maybe being moved, he’s a top player on the trade bait board

Dave Andreychuk aged well because he was so slow to start with. It's like your 30 year old Pinto not being able to hit 45 anymore without shaking to pieces.

larry brook wrote maybe he and buch might be traded or might not be traded...TSN read that and put them on the trade board

Kreider certainly could be just as effective through the back half of his next extension, but given the career arch of most NHLers, that is not the most likely scenario

The same statement more or less applies to Panarin, but in my opinion his talent level is rare enough that I was more comfortable with that risk

Tony D. has to move out west or the Rangers will really regret moving him.Anyone here really want want to see him in an way sweater with a chip on his shoulder 6 times a year for the next 6 years plus playoffs? He can stay in the East if he wants to go hang with his buddy Vesey in Buffalo.

The way Milan Lucic aged has nothing to do with how Chris Kreider will.

so zero concerns about declining? How can that be? Historically, the Rangers are as guilty or more guilty than any team banking on aging players only to fall flat on their faces.

imo, the difference is Panarin has the rocket shot. That shot kept St Louis around well past his 30th birthday. Of course, once we got St Louis the fans were celebrating as if he would last 5 more years yet the wheel s fell off overnight.
