JP is 2nd or 3rd in points in Liiga, still only 21. Also did well in Champions HL. His value has gone up since being loaned, hence why Edmonton did not bother to pull the trigger on the proposed deal with Andersson, who has very little value now. The Rangers can have Edmonton attach a mid round pick to the trade, but with the Lias situation and the 3 headed goalie tandem, I think Edmonton actually has the leverage here.It's certainly more than a guy who hasn't proven anything at the NHL level and doesn't want to play for the team who owns his rights.
